I saw the first ep and I liked it alot!
How many eps is it and is there anything bad in it that should be watched out for??
How exactly does the story go/ what exactly is it about?

Yea the main one is awesome! ^_^ Wolves are cool!
Umm it is (from what I have seen) about wolves which are now extinct but a few of them are left and using some kind of spell to make humans see them as human. They are searching for a type of paradise too that only wolves can find.
Its awesome! Def worth checking out!

(con't from Bell's summary)...The four wolves, Kiba, Tsume, Hige and Toboe, all have their own goals, but all want true freedom. They are searching for the Paradise, but in order to do so, must find the Flower Maiden, who's name is Cheza.

Then there are the usual bad guys who want to destroy all wolf's, and hunt them in order to bring Cheza back..(*spoiler?* The four wolf's take her in order to fid the Paradice)

Its quite good--I like Blue, Toboe and Hige~! ^O^

Hello,
My name is Pantakrator, and I'm a Wolf's Rain fanatic. I don't know how to get out of it. The characters, the animation, story, the *political* subplots... The show blows my mind. Aww, just forget it! I'm ADDICTED!!!

In all seriousness, Wolf's Rain has to be seen to be believed. I own all 30 episodes on DVD and it's just insane! Your guy's description of the show isn't quite right, but I'll let you experience the show for yourself.

Oh, and HikariChan, about the dog... Keep watching it will BLOW YOUR MIND!!!

Have fun guys! You're about to see for the first time one of the greatest animes ever made. I envy you! :thumb:

I've seen it once, and being a wolf-lover I enjoyed it automatically... only noticiable stuff I noticed was the blood/violence (wolf bites, etc.) and very minor language, sparsely used.

There are 26 episodes on the TV series and 4 OAV eps. I have the OAVs on tape, but I haven't watched them yet (am terribly irresponsible). I love Blue and Quent best, and Cher and Hubb make the sweetest couple. Wolf's Rain strikes me as pretty flaky at times (I don't like the way they handled the paradox of wolves having human-level cognitive abilities, among other things), but it's okay as a whole.

i like how ist wolfs an everything. plus that it shows blood. they only thing i think is strange is that they dont really change into humans, they just look like humans, so when i first watched it i thought they turn into humans and i got really confused when the guy tried to save the boy falling and he used his teeth! i was so confused! but now i get it and i watch it every saturday!
i love it!

Well they don't really "change" into humans, they use this spell so that real humans see them as humans.

Tsume... he is the guy in the black leather outfit with the short grey hair, right?

of course you knew something was gonna happen to him, since he was a bit ofa wimp, but he was so cute...lol. ^O^

*howls* Wolf's Rain kicks butt! Kiba is my favorite. He's the white wolf whose human "form" has brown hair and awesome green eyes. ^_^

>>Kiba - Fangs
I want fangs! That would be fun to have. I want Kiba too. ;)

Ren_sama, you might want to put that tidbit in spoiler tags.

And yes, Kiba's the best. I'm seriously regretting not nominating him for the bishie contest way back when... but I didn't even watch WR at the time so...

I also like Hige. Gotta love that comic relief (and pulling keys out of his hair - that's pretty cool)

Wolf's Rain...I saw the first 11 episodes several months ago...in Japanese...(I try and stay away from dubs...), and yeah, I really liked it, actually. The animation was unique, yet really good...and the character's personalities were really well depicted. (Yes...Kiba is quite a cutie... Love those eyes of his...yum.) I LOVED the ending theme...Gravity...which I believe was composed by Yoko Kanno (For all you Cowboy Bebop fans out there...) I wouldn't mind seeing the rest of the series...but yeah...I stay away from dubs as best I can...so whenever I can get around to grabbing the rest in Japanese I'll probably watch it again.

Whoa whoa, so tonight's episode was no. 4? So I've seen 2 and 3.... Cool. I've seen almost all of them so far. I'm a bit confused, though, what does the Flower Maiden have to do with anything? Or is she supposed to be a mystery?

So far, I really like it. It looks like it's going to be like Witch Hunter Robin, in that stuff's not going to be handed to the viewer on a silver platter. (Ironically, did anyone else realize that the voice of Amon is also in this series?) It also seems to be taking a few episodes to pick up, but WHR was the same way.

Just my thoughts. :thumb:

A lot of the series on Cartoon Network uses many of the same american voice actors... From the...part of one episode I saw of Big O, I'm pretty sure the voice of...Roger, right...was the same as Spike from Cowboy Bebop. And then...I think I was told that the voice actor of Inuyasha (Richard Cox...or something) also did another character for some anime on Toonami or something... So I wouldn't be surprised if some of the Wolf's Rain voice actors were the same for WHR.

WHR's...ending disappointed me. Probably just because I needed some closure on the series and such.

Yeah, Inu's VA was the same one who did Bit Cloud on Zoids and Pietro on X-men evolution. Miroku's VA was Trowa Barton on Gundam Wing. Kagome's is Laura from Hamtaro. Kouga's is Duo Maxwell. Sesshoumaru's is Treize's.

Kiba's is Vash. Hige's is Tai from Digimon. (Season 1! Yes!)

*giggles* I notice voice actors all over the place. ^_^ It bothers me when I recognize the voice and I can't think of who else that person is, so I go out of my way to know things like that.

Wow, Richard Cox is InuYasha? I didn't know big-time movie actors often did anime voices. Well, I don't know if he's that big, but he is in Troy (As Agamemnon). Then again, Billy Bob Thornton did that monk's voice in Princess Mononoke, and Daveigh Chase was Chihiro in Spirited Away.

Anyway, I need some clearing up done for me. I didn't see the first episode so there's probably a lot of important stuff I missed:

What time period is this? I mean obviously it's in the future, but how come everywhere is so desolate? Did some kind of war happen?

Who and what are the nobles?

The Flower Maiden... the wolves need her to unlock paradise, correct? Is that why that masked man stole her, because he wants paradise too? And why was Cher studying the Flower Maiden?

*feels n00bish*
