I was wondering if anyone here has read any of the Sandman graphic novels. I just got started and I'm beginning to like them! Niel Gaiman rocks!

I have the first two of four "Absolute Sandman" volumes . I'm not into comic books really but I really like this series. I've been on a looong hiatus from it though. I don't think I quite finished the first volume so I need to get back to it really (the first volume is like the first 20 issues though so I have read a bit).

I actually just finished reading through Sandman for the first time a few weeks ago. It was quite an experience!

Brilliant writing and the are in 'The Wake' is some of the best I have ever seen in comics to this day.

I've only read two of them, they seem pretty good, I need to read more.

makachop, if you like his stuff, he's written a few novels too: Coraline, Stardust, American Gods, and The Graveyard Book. Both Coraline and Stardust are movies too, but I'd skip the Stardust movie. It pulls a happy ending out of nowhere that does not do the story justice.
(why did they just have to have a happy ending? The book's ending was JUST FINE!:rant: ok, rant over) I haven't read American Gods, but I thought The Graveyard Book was ok.

Read 'em all. Love them. Gaiman is one of my favorite two authors. I think it's fantastic. I thought the Stardust movie was delightful as well, if something to be considered quite separate from the book. It was about time we got a modern Princess Bride.

I've heard those are really good, haven't read them yet. I have so much I want to read >.<
I hate when movies do that. The ending is good in the books, not the happiest but good, and then the movie has a happy ending that doesn't go with the book at all.

The ending in Stardust's novel was not bad, but actually I did like the movie better.
