Adaptation Decay I agree with wholeheartedly.
Cannot Spit it Out - right, and the person you are confessing to never knows that you're about to tell them you're in love with them, even though you are couching it in terms that are pretty much only used for confessing feelings of love?! It was cute the first few times I saw it, but it's SO overdone.
Fanservice - of the sexual variety. I mean, I can take a little - and far more than I could when I first got into anime - but some shows take it WAY too far. And when it becomes the focus...I'm done. There has to be enough decent material to make the fanservice worth wading through for me. There can be innocent fanservice, which is just the author putting in something because they know the fans would love it, and that I'm fine with.
Fo Yay, Ho Yay, Les Yay, Bro Yay...did I miss any?! - more specifically, when fans of a show fabricate this out of thin air. There are some fandoms you just can't even get near because all of a sudden this one aspect is all the fans seem to want to goosh over. I've learned to just sigh and move along.
Fan Dumb - is connected to the above, sometimes. And people getting WAY too serious and sensitive about things that really...aren't all that important. Or, you know, REAL.
Ms. Fanservice - sometimes. When she is a
purely fanservice character - or purely a moe-blob - yeah, that's annoying. Some of them go on to get some decent character development, so not ALL of them are quite as irritating, though.
The Scrappy - yeah, sometimes the fandom is justified in hating a specific character. Also
The Replacement Scrappy.
Wallbanger - going episodes at a time building up to something that seems like it's going to be really deep, or emotional, or rewarding, and then pulling one of these is well...
like the name implies, really.
