Girlfriend......maybe....I don't know.

Please pray for me! There is a girl at my school that I really like a lot and she is a friend of mine, but I want the friendship to be something more and I think she does too. I haven't done anything yet because 1. I'm scared it would destroy our friendship 2. I've been praying about it because in my bible class we just finished the chapter about God's perfect timing for everything. I don't know what to do. BTW, she IS christian. Oh gosh, please, just pray for me. I need to know what to do. I almost said something to but I chickened out because a lot of people were around. We're good friends though, everyone thinks that we're dating. I really like her. :?: Somebody help me :bang:

Heehee, I shall pray for you, Pigeon!

Here is some advice to consider:

  1. Your lady-friend is Christian, so that's already out on the table, no need to worry if she is of another faith.
  2. "Ruining" a friendship is tragic, guarenteed. It hurts and all around is lame drifting away from someone. But would you rather know yes or no instead of having it be a huge question mark throughout your life?
  3. Weigh the pros and cons of being her friend or possibly being something more.
My suggestion would be to talk to her one-on-one and broach the subject in a constructive, humorous matter. Say something to the effects of, "Y'know, everyone sorta jokes around and says we're dating - what do you think about that?"

If you think she likes you - as in boyfriend like - she probably does. Girls are rather shy in their crushes and so many guys I've talked to for my friend's sakes didn't even know my friend liked them. If you're getting, "I like you" vibes from her that's a good thing!

Good luck and again, I will pray. *~_~*

Well when seems happeir when we're together and today I was letting her use my organizer (electronic gizmo similar to a palm pilot but only cost $30) and when I got it back her phone number and e-mail address were in my address book. Almost all of my friends have been trying to get us together and today one of them asked her if she'd like to date me, just out of the blue, I didn't see it and only half believe it but he said she was blushing. A while ago toward the time when we first became friends and one of them did that she would tell them to be quiet and normally send me after them. I never really cared but it seemed to upset her so I told the to stop and they did for a while. A couple of them have started back recently, but she doesn't really answer anymore. Just kind of changes the subject or walks off. :?:

You and this girl are friends...good. For how long may I ask? Whatever you answer I suggest remaining friends for a long while (a few years). This girl should be your best friend and I dont mean a friend I mean a friend a REAL friend. I hope ive made sense ad I shall pray for you.

Good luck with that dude. :thumb:

EDIT: In case you got the wrong idea, I mean "Good luck with that goal, dude" rather than "Good luck with that male" Just clarifying.

I probably won't say anything. Everytime, I'm about to I always chicken out and start thinking she deserves better than me anyway, which is true.

Oooh...good luck! I will definately pray for you! I think you should definately tell her at the time God chooses. You'll know when it is, trust me! He'll let you know! Tell her in person and alone- girls find it more sincere that way. Trust me, I know. But be yourself. What will happen will happen but if you never let her know, you may regret it! God be with you!

yuo don't really. It's not like God has a egg timer and it dings when He's ready for you to date or what not.

Just pray bout it, thats when he will tell you. Continue to pray. I don't know if they girl that Im taking to prom might just continue to be my friend, or possibly my girlfriend, or even more wierder, my future wife.

I just don't know. It takes time and patience and prayer. He'll guide you slowly and before you know it, He answered you prayers without you knowing it until He's already did it.

Thanks, I guess I'll keep prayin, I was going to meet her at a fake football game tonight, but I wasn't able to go. I really wanted to go because none of our other friends would have been there so we could have talked a lot more. Anyway, Whenever I get the signal from God I hope its soon.

Keep in mind, you're really young for a "relationship". Figure out what your goal in a relationship with this girl would be, and figure out whether that goal is one you can achieve at your age. Pray, and I'll pray for you.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.
