Just who in the heck do you think you are?!

Postby Dante » Mon May 10, 2010 4:51 pm

So, I recently got a very special flag in the mail, the flag flow in TTGL, it now flies proudly in my room so that all may know that I am a citizen of the nation of Manly Spirit!

Image

In any case, my parent always flew the American flag for my graduation, but for my masters degree I got them to promise that they would fly any flag I got them (so long as it wasn't the flag of the USSR... which was a possibility given my craziness on CAA). This was exactly what I was thinking when I said this.

But in any case, it now flies in my room, so that I can give people curiosity as they snoop into my living quarters when I leave the door open for a minute at my dorm/apartment.

This leads me to my main idea for this thread (turning it into more then, "look! I've got a TTGL flag! Thread"). What type of anime propaganda do you have in your room if any? I have to admit that other then this, very little anime actually adorns the walls of my room, but I know other people keep anime images as well. So do share ^_^!

That, good sir, is indeed very, very awesome.

For myself, all I currently have to adorn my room is a neat picture of Asuka from Eva I got. Eventually, there will be more, but for now, that is all.

Awwww yeah. Now I need to get a TTGL flag.

Basically, there's nothing in my room that indicates that I'm a fan of anime/manga, apart from a small stack of manga on a bookshelf; I don't own any, because I get it all from the library. The only other sign might be if you find my copy of Astro Boy: Omega Factor laying around, but that just indicates that I have great taste in games.

If I had some cash and my own room (I'm sharing with my brother), though, I'd get some Super Robot Wars models, at least.

I don't have much hanging in my room either, except my Totoro hat, Mokona plushie, and a small manga collection. My brother does have two Hikaru no Go posters in his room, plus a collection of manga. X3!

Currently, I have a Castle in the Sky poster, and a Princess Tutu fanart that I printed out and put on my wall.

It's an ink fanart, but the work is really good on it. I'll post it later if I remember to take a picture.

When I had an apartment back in nuke school in the Navy, it was plastered with loads of Sailor Moon wallscrolls.

I don't have an obsession. ._.

Yes you do Nate.

As for me, I have one of each of Cloud, Aerith, and Vincent figures sitting on the shelf above the TV that I play games on...Yeah, they watch you when you play games, wondering why it isn't FFVII.
And I also have a chainmaille Metroid sitting right on top of the TV itself. Other than this, I really don't have a lot of anime stuff. Japanese stuff, yes, I collect ramune bottles and other stuff like that, and I have a Link button on my AD shoulder bag but that's about it. Then again, I doubt my dad would let me actually hang anything up in my room.

I have anime posters all over my room, mostly from Ouran (>_>). But I also have one from Tsubasa, two from FMA (one is a wallscroll), one from Bleach, and one from Fruits Basket. I may take piccies later. >_>

...and I've got a Rozen Maiden poster!

Postby crusader88 » Mon May 10, 2010 10:10 pm

Though virtually no one ever visits my humble substance-free abode, this Rozen Maiden: Träumend poster is the centerpiece of my dorm room.
...you must begin a reading program immediately so that you may understand the crises of our age... Begin with the late Romans, including Boethius, of course. Then you should dip rather extensively into early Medieval. You may skip the Renaissance and the Enlightenment. That is mostly dangerous propaganda. Now that I think of it, you had better skip the Romantics and the Victorians too. For the contemporary period, you should study some selected comic books.

I used to have two Escaflowne wallscrolls, a small Kenshin scroll and a small Cowboy Bebop scroll; but they all ended up back at my parents' house after college.

I currently have this FMA poster, a Soujiro Seta figure overlooking my printer, a Vegeta figure hanging out amongst CD-R spindles, and a Wolfwood figure.

I've got a big ol' Ouran Host Club wallscroll, plus a Naruto poster, figurines of Ichigo (Bleach), Kululu (Sgt. Frog), and Kagami (Lucky Star) as well as one Keroro (Sgt Frog) plushie and a Tony Tony Chopper plushie (One Piece). Hmmm...other than that...just my "dad cap" that I made for an Azumanga Daioh cosplay and put on top of my Winnie the Pooh plushie's head. And various volumes of manga laying around that I never bother to put away...

TTGL is SO AWESOME! Fly that flag proudly! :)

No posters or wallscrolls, but on my bookshelf I do have a row of little figurines - a bunch of them are the CLAMP no Kiseki chess pieces that I'm collecting, but I also have a Nendoroid L and mini-Nendoroid Mikami Teru from Death Note, and a poseable Ed Elric from FMA. Oh! And I almost forgot my Teto plushie from Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind! :)
