Favorite Lost Characters

Postby rocklobster » Thu Apr 08, 2010 4:13 am

Okay, with Lost about ready to wrap up, I was wondering who was the most popular character among my fellow Lost fans. Here are mine:
Hurley (I like comedy relief)
Daniel Farraday
Jack Shepherd
Kate
John Locke (the good version, not
Smokey
)

Season 1: Locke - Tell me he wasn't in his prime with the first season!

2: Mr. Eko - So we got this guy, he's huge, carries a stick and quotes scripture (but goes out like a punk)

3-5: Ben Linus - If I had to pick one favorite for the series, this is it. Very intelligent and he gets things done...but really got knocked down some notches this season.

6: "Locke" - don't want to say much here.

Honorable Mention: Sawyer - when the writers want me to hate him, I hate him. When they want me to love him, I love him.

Oooo. XD

Ben is, without a doubt, my top favorite character on the show, not necessarily because he's likable (but come on, who doesn't love his witty/sarcastic side? XD), but because he's the most complex character on the show, and also one of the most complex characters I've seen on TV ever. His episode this season just continued to solidify why I love Ben. XD

Desmond is probably tied for first with Ben, just because he's pretty much 100% likable and has an incredibly interesting plot going with him. I am also a big fan of Desmond and Penny. I mean really, who didn't melt during the telephone scene in The Constant, back in season 4? XD

Daniel Faraday comes soon after. He was definitely the best character to come off the freighter (though I also love Lapedis and Miles XD), not to mention every time he's on-screen, something gets answered or we get more insight to some aspect of the show. XD I love his interactions with Desmond, too, and he also totally has that adorable/nerdy thing going for him. XD

Hurley...who doesn't like Hurley? XD People who don't like Hurley are just wrong. XD I'm going to lump Charlie into this category, too. XD

Locke is another favorite, pre-Ajira flight. XD I've always liked Locke, and I always loved all of the episodes that were Locke-centric. His backstory is both tragic and fascinating--I think Walkabout is what sold me on Lost 100% back when I was just beginning to watch--and he still "remains" an interesting character. And if my theory that I adopted from Doc Jensen is correct, he'll be even cooler when this is all said and done. XD

Also, Richard and Jacob. Because they do not cease to be awesome. XD

Not nessecarily in that order.
