I admire _____ because

I admire... let's see now....

CobaltAngel - for her mad Oekaki skillz

Zarn Ishtare - for stepping up to challenge me to a bard-off (very short indeed,
but it was cool).

Little T-chan - she's so bright and happy, and not in the annoying way but the cheerful, uplifting way.

Ronin of Kirai - an excellent writer; if he wrote a book, I'd buy a copy.

DoMiNiQuE - for having one heck of a cool avatar (dancing Strong Bad).

Anyone who does their own webcomic. Keep up the good work, all o' ya!

Oh heck, pretty much everyone for some reason or another. CAA is such a wonderful community and I'm so happy I found it.

I admire some here on CAA for what they say but the list would not be complete if I didn't mention the ones I know out there, better, out here.

I say, for the short experience I've had here that I admire Volt, for keeping us updated on what's new and/or funny out there, for his strong opinions and for the help he gives to whoever asks for it.

Then I would say that I admire the people who built this site, that is, perhaps, the best I've seen till now.

Now, I have many whom I admire outside CAA, and that is, for starters, my parents, my first friend and someone who reached out to me when I was feeling down.

I know this came off as a good idea but don't forget the downside of it, that is, when someone looks at a thread such as this, he/she allways goes to see if him or her is admired by anyone, so, if no one says that they admire him or her, that will come as a disappointment...

Lastly I admire you for creating this thread and I'll keep my eyes open to what happens here.
Those who have wings will fly in their dreams.

Doesn't reading threads like this just give you warm fuzzies even if the posts aren't about you? And now I could launch into some Marketing mumbo jumbo about what a great community this is but since I am probably one of the few people that would understand it, that would be pretty dumb. So instead I'll say this:

I admire CAA in general. I can't believe that such a great and HUGE place like this can exist, run entirely by members. When I first came here I was a casual anime fan, but now I am hoplessely hooked. Drat. :P

calbhach - Because she has sooo many pictures, and she is so generous with sharing them. :)

Mave - She came up with that awesome wallpaper idea, and I hope that once we are finally not both up to our eyeballs in school work we will be able to continue it.

Inkhana - She can draw! And she runs the monthly art contests with plenty of patience and grace.

Ashley - Even though she is like a mini celebrity on this board, she takes time to respond to members.

ShiroiHikari - because she is so patient with me, even though I promised her a layout almost a decade ago. :sniffle:

To all my fellow Bishie Thread Members - Because not only are they fun and hilarious to post with, but they manage to act intelligent at the same time. ;)

My LiveJournal buddies from here - cause even though most of us don't post a lot (*cough* me *cough*) I can always count on getting solid Christian perspectives from all of you.

All the awesome artists in the Graphic Design thread - all of you rock. Yes all of you. Because even though most of you are better then me I can post without feeling "unworthy" like I do at other graphics forums. You are all so nice and helpful to all the newbies in that thread too, while at the same time giving constructive criticism.

glitch1501 wrote:i admire MyrrhLynn cause she is great at graphics design and has a cool site

Ohhh! That's so nice of you to say! But you know when I was your age I had 1/99999th of your ability and talent, so... I expect great things from you in the future.

I know I'm forgetting people so sorry! Thanks everyone for creating such a fun community.

this falls in line with the influential members thread as well.

Chloe and UC have inspired me to take writing and scripting more seriously. However, all the other writers (too numerous to list) have impressed me with their writing abilities and unknowingly encouraged me to write better overall.

MyrrhLynn has impressed me with her graphic design abilities (yeah we'll have to catch up on that project eventually ^_^) and therefore, influenced me whenever I design something (you know, something like a benchmark heh)

Chapel has done a great job encouraging other artists to participate in the manga artists thread and getting them to interact. I think that's a great thing to do and I would like to be more active too (waiting for my academic semester to be over). ^^;

Omega Amen for being such as a gentlemen and restoring faith in the holy and sincere respectful appreciation of the female human race.

Fellow artists (webcomics or artworks), I'm greatly moved by your perseverance & dedications and impressed by some of your artworks. Rock on!

There are some individuals here who have given very good Christian advice and responded to theological topics with such wisdom and sincerity that I can't help admiring them. I've been encouraged to bulk up my spiritual life and theologial knowledge eversince. Now...if only I could remember exactly who those individuals are. ^^; You know who you are

I'm sure I missed out some ppl but I'm sure you can forgive me. ;)

anonymous wrote:i also admire any family that can get along so well.... ((muttering something about being and American-born oriental teenager and generation gaps and every family member having their own life.....:mutter: ))

I wasn't born in America, but I understand the "every family member having their own lives" part. It's even more real now that I'm here in U.S while my family is living halfway the other side of the world. My big bro and I are 5 years apart age-wise and we rarely talk, like say...once every 6 months? (heh we get along but we're too busy to get to know each other well enough ^^; ). My bro is still somewhat "separated" from my parents. My mum and auntie used to wage bitter wars, and I always got in the middle of it involuntarily.

hmm...what else, I have no contact with the rest of my aunties/uncles and I have no idea who, where and how many cousins I have. I never knew my grandparents (they died before I was born or when I was too young). So yeah, I don't really have many family attachments.

I don't know how I survived being a loner for many years (must be God's grace heh). But, hey God is good and always comes to the rescue when the time is right. I (ironically) got to know my parents better when I left for U.S...after 23 years of being their daughter. I heard my bro is starting to talk more to my parents and have finally found a girlfriend my parents and I get along well with :brow: Yeah I'm so happy for him! Finally, a girl whom I look forward to calling my future sister in law. My mum and aunt seems to be patching things up as well. Praise God for healing my family.

Gee I really went off topic. Perhaps this should go into testimony. Oh well...anyway, hang on there and do your best, anony-san. God plans all things for the best. :thumb:

Aw... T_T Icarus admires me. I'm honored. Truly, I am.
I admire many people on this site, but for practical reasons I'll narrow it down to five.
I admire Chloe because she's been a real friend  and takes time out of her busy schedule to listen to my aspiring writer ramblings. I was looking for a friend when I first came to CAA, and I found one.
I admire Icarus because he's a wonderful poet and pal.
I admire Lochaber because he is an extraordinary editor and writer. You rock, Loch. ^^
I admire Psycho Ann because she's funny and a great artist. I saw her manga, and all I can say is, wow. Check out the Psychoteers.
I admire UC because he is an amazing writer and rpger.

I admire Icarus because of his wonderful writing skills and serious yet fun nature. What an interesting person! I think that what he wants to do after he graduates college is really cool because it will benefit young people around him in a really wonderful way. He will have a positive impact on the lives of many young people.

I admire Saint Kevin because he really tries to help people and has a wonderful passion to serve God. God will really use him.

I admire Swordguy because he has such a passion for God. It's like anytime I ask him how he is, he is great because it is the day that the Lord has made. It's so easy to base the quality of our day on such eternally unimportant things.

I admire Yahshua because he wants to serve the Lord and he is always such a positive, affirming person.

I admire Mechana because he seems like a strong Christian and he is a kind and down to earth person. The way he likes to draw is either intimidating or inspiring. The guy has talent.

I admire Yeito and Kat Walker because of the lives that they lead and people they are.

I admire Golden_Griff for being who she is. You're awsome girl.

I am Sunako because she is kind and cool.

I admire Esoteric because she is who she is and brainy chics rule.

I admire Spiritwolf because she seems down to earth.

I admire all the artists and writers who allow us to see into there world in the works that they create.

I admire all of the people who have done something to reach others for Christ. Little in this life could be more worthwhile in eternity.

I admire True_noir_chloe very much because she is such a real, sweet, godly woman with a heart to reach others. I want to grow up to be kind of like you. :)

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Since this thread was revived with more confessions of admiration I decided to look over it...and I saw my own post and noticed that it wasn't complete. I shall complete it. ^^

+ Ashley----I admire her because first of all, God has chosen her to create this family of Christian anime-lovers AND she FOLLOWED His command and created CAA. And she's so wise and helpful and when I need help, I KNOW I can go to her. <3

+ C-kun----At the first glance, his proper grammer and formal-ish language make him SEEM like he's so serious, but when you really read his posts you can see that he's actually so friendly and amazingly creative. I knew when I gave him his nickname (C-kun = Creative-kun) that it was meant to be like that! haha

+ true_noir_chloe----omg...You don't know how GLAD and THANKFUL I am that you are here with us at CAA!!! You're so wise, comforting, and motherly. I was sorta shy and afraid to approach you at first...but when I did...you made me feel so comforted and the problem didn't go away, but talking to you about it made it seem like everything was going to be okay. Thank you so much. ^^

+ Omega AMEN----First off, I <3 your name. It's beautiful. Sometimes, I take time to say it outloud!! =D But, even though we don't PM lately, I always remember our previous PMs and how wise you were and how much your perpectives opened my eyes. And a few posts ago in this thread, you complimented me and I don't mean to bring attention to it.....I just wanted to thank you because I've been feeling down lately, but when I read that, you just brightened up my LIFE. Thank you so much Omega AMEN!! ::huggie:: And I'll try my best to be happy for you!!! ::determined::

+ Archy-chan----You're so sweet and cute and energetic!! Aw, when I'm feeling lonely, you just BURST outta nowhere and bless my day with your presence!!! haha I have so much fun talking to you all the time and I'm glad you took the time to be my friend. ^^<3

+ RONIN----RONIN, RONIN, RONIN!! You're SO friendly, energetic, and not afraid to be loud and say what you want. And you never fail to IM me when I get online and you haven't gotten tired of me yet. I'm thankful. I'll try my best to be the bestest T-chan ever for you!!!!!

+ Coby-chan----You're so friendly and grrrreat to talk to!!! You have a supreme personality that everyone can admire yet you're so easy to talk to! Thanks for cheering me up with our little hyper chats! haha XD

+ Tamahome----You're so darn generous!!! I've never seen anyone more generous in my life. That's admirable. And you cheered me up very well when I was hurting. Thanks. ^^

+ Spencer----You're so mature about things and down-to-earth. I think that's admirable. ^^ Plus, you're SUPER fun to talk tooooo!!

+ Inkhana-san----Her art is so amazing!! @.@; And her coloring is wonderful too...Wow...And she's friendly and funny too, but everyone already knows that! ^^

+ Gypsy-san----She is also a fantastic artist and is working on "Pilgrim's Progress", which (from what I've seen) is coming along beautifully. And she's fun AND wise. =D

+ Mave----She's sucha fantastical artist!! She truly is. I love reading Kingdom Come and love her characters, especially Doug!!

+ Elric-kun----He is also a GREAT artist!! ^^ When I first saw his one of his drawings, I thought it was an official artpiece from some anime!!!! Wow, his drawings are so super cute!!! Awwwww...<3 And I lubb talking to him online, great friend to talk to.

+ Chibi-chan----She's a great artist!!! And amazing inker too. ^^

+ Old Philosopher----Again, I really truly did think he was a old man like from Lord of the Rings or something..but he isn't. He is just young, funny AND wise at the same time!!!

+ Calbhach----She is also really good at drawing and coloring!! And so friendly!!! ::glomp::

+ Djnoz/Straylight----He is simply amazing. God blessed him with such awesome skills. Everytime I look around CAA, I think, WOW. And I chatted with him once and he is also nice. haha

+ Vyse----I admire him cuz he has very strong views on issues!! ^^

Wow,
Can't believe I over looked this thread.... :hits_self

Well, mainly most of the people I admire are from waaaayyyyyyy back when.

Ash: Of course, why wouldn't I? I've seen her grow (well, more or less read her grow...if that makes sense) waaayyyyy back when the CAA forum was on this other program, no, not the MSN site, before that! She's gown so much, and as a self proclaimed big brother, I'm very proud of her and how she's grown....

Gypsy: Because she was also around when the CAA was on that other forum. She was one of the choosen few so to speak when things first got started......a sort of founding legend..... And she likes ZOIDS.....

Inky: Because she's been a good friend and shes more then a groovey artist, I think she has come to a point where she more then surpases me in digital art....and many other people here as well. I hold her in the highest respect as an artist and friend :)

Kami: Yeah, only she will know whom I'm talking about here. Her and I go wwaaaaayyyyyyyy back from another forum, a forum titled Hugglebunng in which she and I witnessed and participated in a great and many debate, ah, the good old days.

Also, anyone here who's a parent and has enough time to amply participate at this forum, my hat's off to ya. As I said, the lone position of mother itself should be something more then grand enough to admire.

Also, some shouts outs to other web-christian crusaders whom have in fact influenced my direction on how I view the anime medium in contrast with my Chirsitan walk...... thanks to Hazyrayn, Geniveve, Iryl, and Lio.

I'm sure there are others, but alas it's currently 2:30 in the mornin' so I'm going beddy bye.

God Bless,
Archan

The choice has been made. There's no looking back. I won't let up, back up, give up, or shut up. My focus clear. My path is straight. My God, reliable. I'm a disciple of Christ.

Gods plan is like the sun. its too big and bright to look at directly, and sometimes the rain clouds cover it, but sometimes the plan dapples through the clouds and we can see beautiful glimpses of what he has in store for us.

Aw, you're a sweety!
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Honestly, I do not believe my thought process deserves amazement from anyone. However, I am a little curious on which aspect amazes you.

Hmm....

See dude? That's what I'm talking about! You don't just say something, you say it with a high level of intelligence. Instead of saying "Yeah today was a good day" you say "I was rather pleased with the weather God has blessed us with, which as a result has increased my mood." (Not making fun, just an observation so I hope you don't take offense  )

Of course that's not the only thing, but I can't think of anything you've said at the moment that I thought was rather insightful.
