You mean they stopped making Mary-Kate and Ashley games?! :waah!:
How could that possibly be funny, Vyse??!!

Now I'll never get to play those cool games like Mary-Kate and Ashley's Sweet Sixteen car driving game thing or the one that's an organizer/agenda thing. Dude, I'm seriously sad now. ;)

I mean, with games like that on their record, one can only imagine what other video game gems they had in store!

I've never actually played any of their games, though. ^_^

Thank God there are no more games from them, they really should've called it quits as soon as Full House went off the air.

That...makes me want to hit...something. It's amusing, though. That line about 'respected' made me laugh.

Other than the line mentioned by chwing0 and aku_soku_zan, I found it rather dull, actually. Fortunately, it was quite short, so I haven't wasted my time. Though I've seen very little of any regarded games, I'm certain the world is a better place without them.

the most horific, terible, freaky, scary, frightening game on this earth. . . . "Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen's Shoping Spree"! AHHHHHHHHHHH! *runs of screaming*

The irony of that statement totally cracks me up... free cookies for anyone who finds an Acclaim title that would sell worse than the Olsen stuff.

The reason they abandoned the games is probably because they didn't sell. I doubt Acclaim even has royalties to give.

I'm not sure which is more embarrasing: the fact those girls and I are (supposedly) the same age, or the fact that I have more than one of their movies in my house (my sister is a very dedicated fan)

Ok... what does this really matter to them? Probably not much at all, I guess they're using Acclaim as an example. It's under $500,000 and they have around $15 million.... each! I read some estimate their net worth will reach into the billions by the time they're 21.

Heh, don't be surprise if there is another game that sells less.... Acclaim has had a few... questionable adverting ploys in their past....

Anybody recall these marketing attempts by Acclaim?

1. Burn Out 2 - To celebrate the release of the game, Acclaim offered to refund the fines of any driver caught by speed cameras.
2. Turok Evolution - To celebrate the release of this poor game, Acclaim offered to buy the rights to legally rename five gamers "Turok" for an entire year.
3. BMX XXX - This by itself is an immortal embarrassment to the gaming world.
4. There was the decision to offer to pay for the funerals of the recently deceased in return for the right to place a small billboard on the headstone advertising Shadowman 2.

That's the craziest thing I've heard all week... obviously the men in white coats need to pay a visit to the Acclaim marketing department!

Well, at least they're creative....

Too bad that kind of talent doesn't seem to make it into their games very well.

Turok Evolution is a FUN game...sure lacks plot and character developement but seriously, ntohing is more funner then blasting a dinosaur/human creature with a shotgun or making them implode with that cube bomb.

and the multiplayer is very cool, me and my friends plays that for hours.

Other than that Acclaim just stinks.

Yup, it does sound like Acclaim is being made into an example.

I think that the twins are just trying to cover up their embarrassment that their games were awful. It's Akklaim's fault they're crap? To me, those games are inherently crappy. The twins are in denial; if not, they're covering it up through this lawsuit.

It's time for another round of everyone's favorite game, What If!, ladies and gentlemen.

What if the MK and A games were made by....

Squaresoft

Shinji Mikami (Director of Resident Evil)

Hideo Kojima (Creator of Metal Gear Solid)

Sonic Team

Shigeru Miyamoto (Mario, Zelda, ect.)

Satoshi Tajiri (Pokemon Creator)

Thanks a lot, I got a wild hair the other day to make a Five Iron banner since I've never had one. It came out better than I expected.

Er..
