Kind of makes the Army vs Navy game a bit of fun this weekend.

Ok. Yeah I was wondering about Army but I thought that they may have already been passed by for a bowl game. Well, Army-Navy will be a significant game this year.

Sources also say that Brian Kelly is going to going to talk about his future this Saturday...he's gone Cincinnati...he's gone.

Edit: Figured I'd add a few more things to this. Earlier this week Kelly tweeted that he would meet with Irish officials today. The Chicago Tribune is reporting that he also met with Notre Dame officials last week. That article also said that he is going to announce that he will be coaching Notre Dame next year and that he won't coach for Cincinnati in the Sugar Bowl. So, basically, if these reports are true Kelly seems to be doing the same thing Rich Rod did when he left town, except with less slimeyness and betrayal. While I would love nothing more then to see the smug smiles on those Bearcats fans wiped from their faces, I would never wish any fan base to experience what WVU fans experienced when Rodriguez left town. I hope these rumors are really just rumors, and that Kelly will at the very least stay for the bowl game. If not...then man...Florida is going to just devour the Bearcats. This won't be a 2007 Fiesta Bowl where a supposedly inferior WVU team shocked Oklahoma (honestly, I think WVU may have had the best team in the nation that year...). The Bearcats aren't that good and Florida is much better then that Oklahoma team.

Well, that ends Cincinnati's "dominance" of the Big East. I wonder if he'll stay for the Sugar Bowl?

The reports that I been reading is no, he will not coach them in the Sugar Bowl and people of UC and some players said that they don't want him to.

One player said that if he does, he is not playing.

Firs and foremost, congratulations to Roy for winning this years College Football pick'em. Second, I've set up a pick'em group for the bowl games as well since picking winners in those tends to be a little more fun then picking the winners of games involving top 25 teams. If anyone's interested, here's the information you need.

Group Link:http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/bowl/group/26248
Group Name: CAA Bowl Pick'em
Group Number: 26248
Password: blah

Because its a bowl pick'em, this one will be using confidence points. If you are wondering at all what any of this is, Yahoo has graciously included a pop-up that will appear when you try to make your picks explaining exactly how to play. Also, unlike with the regular season, you can make all of your picks (except for maybe one since a bowl game hasn't set its match-up in stone yet) now. So (mech) you won't have to worry about this every week. You can make your picks and just forget it until I announce the winner.

Big Ten to explore options for expanding to 12 schools

Will they call themselves the Big 11 if they expand to 12 teams or the conference that can't count?

They'll steal the Big 12's name and make them choose a new one.

If this ends up occurring, it will be interesting to see who they choose. Syracuse and Rutgers are two schools I've heard mentioned as possibilities though I, of course, would love to see WVU move into it...even though that will never happen.

Missouri has stayed they would listen to the Big 10. I'm like why would Missouri even want to leave the Big 12 for?

So...now its going to be the Pac 11? Or perhaps Pac 12? Actually, this move makes a lot of sense for the Pact 10 if they can get a team like Boise State or Utah to join their conference. I'm sure those programs will be the targets since they've been successful enough to earn a spot in a BCS conference.

Oh, and on a slightly unrelated note. RIP Chris Henry...my heart and prayers goes out to your family.

It would be a weird choice. In terms of television coverage and income, the Big 12 is currently the dominant conference in the midwest

Very much so. I feel that Cin or Pitt would be a better fit for an add on team to the Big 10.

If they did some how got Missouri to come to the Big 10. Then I say the Big 12 should try to get Ark or get TCU.

For the PAC 10, its a no brainier. Go get Utah and BSU.

What has to be kept in mind when considering the Big 10 expansion is Basketball as well. I think its doubtful that Cincinnati will leave the Big East simply because its been a basketball school and the Big East is the more prestigious basketball conference. Out of the two you mentioned, I think Pitt is the more likely choice. With this being said, I don't think Pitt is going to end up in the Big 10 if they are able to expand. I do think the Big 10 will raid the Big East, but I think the program that would be the most likely to bite for a lower price would be Rutgers. Syracuse and UConn (another set of names that have been tossed around) are similar to Cincinnati (basketball schools that are going to want to stay in the better basketball conference), Rutgers though doesn't have a strong Basketball program, is in the New York TV market, and is a rising program that would love the extra prestige that comes with being in the Big 10. I think that the Big 10, if they do seek expansion, will probably end up with Rutgers even though they won't be their first choice. The Big East will then replace Rutgers with UCF since it would give them another Florida school to keep USF company. Those are just my thoughts though.

Meyer to coach final game at Sugar Bowl

ESPN wrote:Urban Meyer is stepping down as coach of the Florida football team, athletics director Jeremy Foley announced Saturday afternoon in a release.

"I have given my heart and soul to coaching college football and mentoring young men for the last 24-plus years and I have dedicated most of my waking moments the last five years to the Gator football program," Meyer said in statement. "I have ignored my health for years, but recent developments have forced me to re-evaluate my priorities of faith and family.

"After consulting with my family, Dr. Machen, Jeremy Foley and my doctors, I believe it is in my best interest to step aside and focus on my health and family.

"I'm proud to be a part of the Gainesville community and the Gator Nation and I plan to remain in Gainesville and involved with the University of Florida.

"I'm very appreciative for the opportunity I've had to be a part of a tremendous institution - from Dr. Machen to Jeremy Foley and the entire administrative staff at UF. I'm also very thankful for the chance to work with some of the best assistants in college football and coach some of the best college football players and watch them grow both on and off the field as people. I will cherish the relationships with them the most."

Meyer will coach his last game for Florida against Cincinnati on Jan. 1 at the Sugar Bowl.

Even though I don't like him, I wish him and his family the best and hope his health issue is nothing serious. I hate to see him leave like this and he did make the SEC fun. I do respect him for his faith and his decision to put family first, before football.

Something that I can't say about Bowden or Joe Pa.

So, the so called Urban Meyer being treated for dehydration was off. About a week ago, Meyer said that he check in the hospital, because of chest pains.

A lot of people wonder if the heath issue is related to the brain cyst situation that he has and knew he had it since 1998.

I've heard recently that Urban Meyer has changed his mind and is just going to take an indefinite leave of absence. In other words, he's saying that if in the future the door is opened for him to coach again, he will...which I think is smart for him since he is rather young. Anyway, I wish him the best.
