Temporarily back - Major Prayer Request - Sorry about posting in general, but...

Postby Azier the Swordsman » Wed Apr 21, 2004 4:48 pm

Okay, this is a pretty serious prayer request. My moms ex-husband is making threatening phone calls to our house, he seems to have it in his mind that my mom is still his wife (he's medically insane) and he's threatening my dad. Please cover the family in your prayers, and pray that Satan not win this battle.

EDIT: To Ashley and the other mods - considering the seriousness of this, I would like to request that this post remain in general.

I shall pray for your family.

Also, if you have not done so already, you must contact the authorities about this immediately. Being a close relative to someone who is involved with law enforcement, this is very serious and you need to take immediate action. I cannot emphasize that enough.

You should do what Omega said. That happened to a girl in my class, and when she told the guy to leave her alone, he punched her. I will pray for you.

And as Omega said - CONTACT THE AUTHORITIES. Get voice recordings of the calls, buy a dog, do anything you can do to protect the family. Threats in this day and age are not - and should not be - taken lightly.

I'll be praying for you, my friend. I agree with everyone else. Call the authorities right away if you haven't done so. You shouldn't have to live with that.

The choice has been made. There's no looking back. I won't let up, back up, give up, or shut up. My focus clear. My path is straight. My God, reliable. I'm a disciple of Christ.

Gods plan is like the sun. its too big and bright to look at directly, and sometimes the rain clouds cover it, but sometimes the plan dapples through the clouds and we can see beautiful glimpses of what he has in store for us.

I'm in total agreement here. I will definitely be lifting you and your family in prayer. ^_^

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

I'll be praying for you. And everyone's giving pretty sound advice in my opinion - it's better not to take chances in a situation like this. I hope you and your mother have contacted someone in authority about this issue.

Yes, we have. My dad contacted the authorities today. (The threat was against him mostly). To give you a good idea of what this guy is like, let's just say he's schizzophrinac (not sure how to spell that), deranged, NOT currently on his medication, and he's heavily demon possed. Keep in your prayers that tonights church service goes smoothly, and if he DOES show up, that things will be taken care of quickly.

Good to hear you guys call 'em! :thumb: Crap, he sounds like one of my uncles. We will keep up the prayers, my friend! I'm assuming you're inviting a couple Police officers to the church service, right? ;)

BTW, it's Schizophrenic, I think... I stink at spelling...

I'll be praying along with everyone else. It's good to know you contacted the authorities even though, as Volt said, they can sometimes be less than helpful.

Update:

Okay, the nutcase contacted the police department threatening to come out and kill my dad, and if the police try to get in his way, he'll kill them as well. The police department has verified through his brother that he is trying to get ahold of a gun. As far as we know, he has no idea of my existence. The police can't do anything now as they need to 'catch him in the act'. This has gotten pretty serious, so please keep praying.

The police, from what I know of the law, can arrest him now. It's enough probable cause to stop him. One, he threatened the police department, and two, it's been confirmed he is actively searching and trying to obtain a weapon. Basically, once a threat has been made and verified as a threat, it is enough to place a warrant on him, if the threat is against a police officer - at least, from my understanding.

If I were you guys, I might look into getting a lawyer and getting the police to move a little faster on this. Because it sounds to me, that they're shuffling the ground with their boots a bit.

Maybe you guys should consider a 'roadtrip'? Stay with some relatives or a close friend if things were to, um, heat up more...?

Hmm.. the police should most definitely have the o.k. to arrest him.... I'll have to have a chat with one of my police officer buddies I go shooting with. I'm still praying.
