MSN IM Warning

Postby Ashley » Sat Jul 26, 2003 7:42 pm

One of our admins here, Shatterheart, is having a real hard time with his comp after dl'ing the new MSN Instant Messenger 6.0. Yeah, it could be something else--but just a warning for all you dialup users. I have cable and the new IM, and it's working fine for me, so apparhently it's got to be something with speed. Anyway, just a warning.

I also have it (I have DSL) and it runs slowly but acceptably.

BOOSTER: Hey, No.1! Where's my cake?!
SNIFIT 1: Booster, Sir! There's a 70% chance the object you're standing on is a cake.
BOOSTER: What? THIS thing's a cake?

You have the power to say anything you want, so why not say something positive?
- Frank Capra

(in response to an interview question "Do you have a pet peeve having to do with this biz?")
People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

I've got it...it seems okay, but...every once in a while (even when I'm not online) my pointer will turn to the arrow + hourglass for no apparent reason. It seems like it's only been happening since I installed it. May be nothing, but...it still bugs me.

I have it on both dial-up and DSL(work). No problems either way.

I'll have to get MSN working with my Net proxy. Too bad there isn't MSN6 for the Mac (yet?).

MSN doesn't give me any problems. except little ads that pop up once in a while. maybe i can screen capture it next time. must be a security flaw while it's in beta stage...

hmm. Lucky thing I don't have MSN or a dial up connection. I would have it if I had any friends that use it. :)

The cake used to be a lie like you, but then it took a portal to the deception core.

I still have old MSN IM. My rule is, if it is not broke, don't fix it.

Wow...I am locking this thread. Check the dates people...it was almost a year with no posting on this. Old topic...with no real decent reason to post on it.
