Ya.
I didn't know this kind of stuff existed. I had my suspicions, but this was just terrifying.

On another note, I didn't know that canned chicken:

http://www.geekologie.com/2009/04/30/canned%20chicken%203.jpg

and canned cheeseburgers:

http://www.cheese-burger.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/canned-cheeseburger.JPG

existed either.

Greatest accomplishments of man? Mhm. :shady:

Dude, what's even the POINT to the maggot cheese? I could understand if it was like pot or something (which gives people good feelings), but...it burns your tongue! And they can bore into the sides of your intestines? I mean, unless you're doing it on some sick dare, I can't see why people would even TRY and sneak this stuff illegally, but apparently people do. What the heck man, what the heck.

The baby mouse wine is also just sick and pointless. I mean, if you're gonna do that, couldn't you find a baby mouse that was still born or something? Or at least quickly kill them instead of drowning them? .___.

Oh man.

You give me a few balut with some Texas Pete, and I too will join the ranks of the fifth and seventh levels of hell in enjoying half-incubated duck eggs.

And here Ante sits, eating grilled chicken and rice. Actually, lutefisk is known up here because of the Scandinavian populations. Sheesh, and the worst Ante's family eats is sauerkraut.

Wait, someone asked whether a canned cheeseburger was a great accomplishment or not?

Canned cheeseburgers are like the fourth or fifth best idea ever. Not that I'd buy or eat one or anything, but man, the idea's there.

Huh. Never mind about canned cheeseburgers being a great accomplishment, then. At least, until they can perfect it! Build a better canned cheeseburger, and the world will beat a path to your door; that's what Emerson always said.

The Onion did a review of the canned cheeseburger.

Basically, their consensus is that it should banished back to the fires of Hades from whence it came.

Language warning for those concerned.

Also, the dead mice wine doesn't look to bad. Given the alcohol content I imagine it is fairly sanitary. Just don't stir up the bottom before drinking. I might go for the sheep head too, you know, to prove my dominance over weaker mammals to those around me.

Now I feel ashamed for not having eaten balut yet. It's part of my national heritage.

Actually, I just want to eat one so I can have bragging rights over nearly everyone at parties.

Pbbbbpph, I haven't eaten balut yet and my national heritage is still intact. I really don't care who in my race I have offended by committing fowl fetucide.

Anyway, the Philippine food item that really terrifies me is diniguan. Google it.

Oddly enough, the canned cheeseburger looks like something I once saw come out of a vending machine at junior college.

I still ate it.

O_O It's obligatory in certain wedding ceremonys!? Wow! Though that doesn't bother me as much as balut because at least you don't see anything. Balut you see it T_T

And as for the sheeps head...that doesn't bother me either. Maybe because I'm Greek? XDDDD

Hmmm... that dinugun stuff immediately reminded me of blood pudding, or sausage... I'm not sure which its called, I've heard both.
Blood blood blood. Yum.

I'm pretty much full blood Norwegian, but thank goodness none of my family is really traditional, and all the traditional ones died off or moved to Minnesota XD.
No Lutefisk for me!
Although I think it's one of the more normal and edible things on the list.

Err. Nothing surprises me anymore. It reminds me a little of "Bizarre Foods" with Andrew Zimmern. I have seen some terrifying and bizarre food items... though I do not see myself eating anything like that anytime soon. ^_^
