Okay, I'm starting this thread because I think it's nice to hear what people admire about you. I know there was a compliment your fellow member thread in the goof off, but I wanted to do something a little different. I want this to be at least a semi-serious thread. I'm not gonna be all like "*smack* Bad monkey. No cookie for you." if you post something humorous. Cuz we all know some of our members are funny by nature and we wouldn't have them any other way. ^_^ Just post what you admire about anyone. I suppose I'll go first.

I admire Omega Amen. He seems like a very together person to me. Strong in himself and his beliefs. He's also really...wise in my opinion. I want to listen to what he has to say. He also seems like a very trustworthy person to me. Like you could tell him anything without hesitation. Also sort of like a big brother. Like he'd tease you, but if anyone else teased you the same way and meant it meanly, he'd stick up for you no problem. Protective of those he cares for.

I also admire Spiritsword. His bright personality has definitely cheered me up a time or two. Even through IM I can tell he's listening to me whole heartedly. He even listened to me rant about my sister, which he gets major kudos for. Now, when I'm reading people's posts, I see them as their avatar since I don't really have anything else to go by. So, most of the time when I'm reading his posts, I can see the big, happy smile on his face.

I admire The Silence too. Not only is she pretty, she is uber-talented. That girl has more talents than the faithful servant in the parable! And she's my good friend IRL.

I admire OldPhil... because he has great taste in women. (For those of you who don't know, he's my hubby.) He is also very kind, generous, loving, supportive, encouraging, intelligent, funny... the list goes on.

I admire true_noir_chloe. She's my friend. She's a very talented writer, as well as a mature Christian woman. I appreciate the way she says what she means and means what she says.

I admire Mimichan (AKA Iesu_No_Senshi) for her incredible writing skills as well. If you haven't read Here Be Dragons, do it now! I don't know her very well, or else I'm sure I'd have tons more nice things to say. I'll say this -- I'd like to get to know her better!

Ashley: Having the guts to get out there and make this site! Also cute in real life and chibi

Straylight/dj: For all his programming prowess and the dedication he has shown in making this site work and having the loyalty to keep improving it all the time!

Shatterheart: Pretty much what Volt said... hes not afraid to say and do what needs to be done.

Gypsy AND Inkhy: Both of you have made me smile lots of times by way of your outstanding artwork and your awesome sense[s] of humor!

Also, I look up to technomancer and CDLviking because of all the things I've learned from them about theology

Coby is awesome because she is honest, funny, and always willing to talk with me on AIM

Ok...I have done this before...and usualy forget people.

I respect members that understand that the staff faces some tough issues, members that are understanding and patient. There are more that are like this then unlike this....and that makes being an Admin here fun.

I respect the entire staff...we have ups, we have downs...and we are a cohesive unit.

Lastly I respect people you do there best to help others on the boards. It does not go unnoticed by God, and it should not be unnoticed by everyone. A few members jump to mind like True Noir, taking the time to talk to people...when they were never asked to do so...only doing it out of kindness. People that try to help others deserve a pat on the back.


And lastly lastly (had to add this) I respect the staff member that cleans the staff bathroom. You know who you are...and cleaning the whole thing with a toothbrush shows how strong a Gyspy you are. I mean...strong person. Yeah.

I already gave Ashley my admiration in a previous thread.

There are so many of you here... and I feel that I have yet to get to really know you. I guess that has to do with my loner nature.

However, I can point out admirable qualities in these members.

uc pseudonym: I have noticed that he is very... observant (maybe there is a better word) to an uncommon degree. This is an important characteristic of a person constantly seeking to strengthen his faith. Thus, I believe that should be admired. In my experience, very few people have that quality.

Hitokiri: Honestly, I have a hard time being a light-hearted man. I tend to scrutinize everything that I come across. However, his behavior reminds me to always take a step back, breathe, and keep things in perspective. He is also very open in showing any positive feelings he has at the moment. That is an admirable quality of strength.

Little Turquoise Angel Joy (Little T-chan): How can anyone not admire her? To easily bring such joy and brightness is an incredible quality. She understands the importance of appreciating love.... Appreciating love is still a journey I sometimes have trouble with. *chuckles* On a lighter note, she is "sooooooooooo" cute... so cute that... she might be the successor of my mother's position of being the "Empress of Cuteness," a position she has held for over five decades.... When I first saw this thread, I thought, aw, not another... but then, I started reading the posts, and saw my name come up. Gosh.

Then I had to shove my pride back down and think of who I admire. <--thinking. Beware, the following will have many glompings:

I admire most my son, Elric_kun. I follow my kid's comments on the boards - every so often - and I notice how kind and funny he always is. I wish I knew all the cute little keyboard things he does to make his posts so funny. And, personally, I know he's the kind of guy that is always there for his friends, freely giving of himself, and in that way I admire him so much.

I admire my daughter, chibi_chan, because I know she comes off quiet, shy and sweet here - well, she really is like that. She's always been small for her age, but she has the biggest heart, and when she says she'll pray for someone, you bet she will be praying for that person.

Now, all the people who posted me somewhere in their thread, I admire them, as well.

Eirewolf, is my beloved friend, whom the first time I wrote to her we hit it off. Her use of scripture on posts has always been so appropriate, I instantly admired her.

Spirit_wolf is so much like me it's scary, but it's also kind of neat, because she obviously has good taste.

convoybutterfly and her brother Icarus, are the most talented poets. ^_^ I admire how they also uplift one another.

JediSonic, is such a talented young man, and he has a great name. I admire the way he's worked so hard on his sites. ^_^

Luke - Loooke! lol our IM convos are craziness as well as the Psych thread we branched off w/ during the pirate sidequest! We need to finish that! You're so crazy and together you and Cobster make me crack up so much its ridiculous!!

Ronin - dude, you crack me up! TMNT are the greatest, just cuz they're turtles, heh! our convos are hilarious, kinda off centered and besides the point, but they're the greatest! Oo also, you're advice/questions you do are awesome! ...even though 'The Man' is usually the only answer I ever get...*looks on glumly* its still greatness, as is our Losers club! XD*glomps*

Saney - awesome awesome talent for RPs! seriously though, this kid has got a good imagination and great skills at it! mad props! ^.^

Everyone in AU RPG - I can't even begin to name all you guys! LA, Anison, Taslin, Zarn, the list goes on and on. You guys are soo awesome and it's been soo much fun in the rpg w/all yall! *glomps everybody*

Everyone on/at CAA - each and every person has contributed and it's awesome getting to know everybody. A really huge thank you and admiration to all the people that put this site together cuz it suffices my boredom and is an awesome place to hang out!


Side Note: just for the record, I know zilch about music!! I think maybe it was done as a joke or something to poke fun of the lack of knowledge thereof that I know... lol!

Aww, another one of these threads! They always make me teary-eyed and sniffly.

I do want to say a big hearty thank you to anyone and everyone who put me down in their list (jedisonic, volt, zilch, omega, shatterheart [Gyp may clean the bathroom, but I think you and I both know who restocks the staff fridge in the lounge...and it ain't no hoodie wearin' gypsy either!]--if I forgot anyone else please forgive me). It's really a warm feeling to have someone compliment you so nicely as each of you have done, so thanks. Also, if you mentioned the mods or the staff in general, you are to be thanked as well. It's not always fun, but it is always nice to be appriciated. So on behalf of all the staffers, including myself, thank you. You guys make it all worth it.

I also want to echo what Shatterheart said--by being understanding and cooperative with us, we admire you. You make our job ten million and one times easier, and it does not go unnoticed by us or by the Lord.
