What role would you be if you were in an anime series?

I was in the chat tonight and I thought up this interesting little question.

Me, I think I would probably be a main character guy that gets into awkward situations. Like Harima Kenji from school rumble.

What about you guys? What would be your role?

When I was younger, definitely awkward, geeky sidekick who stands no chance with whatever girl he's stuck on (I spent three years of high school lamely failing to court the girl I was 'in love' with.)

These days, either exasperating/weird/uncouth dad or background brainiac (although lately most anime series seem to be giving the background brainiac role to a girl with glasses.)

This is funny and stuff! I was just talking about this the other sunday after emerge with my friends.

My guess, is that while I wish I was the cynical one, I guess that I would be nerdy, kind of weak one who acts as support for the main character. I'm thinking Hanataro from Bleach, or maybe Lloyd from Code Geass, except I'm not a sociopath.

The immortal side character, who's commentary on the situation is only obtusely useful, but is still generally helpful by other means. Think the kind of guy who generally has their eyes closed all the time.

I will only ever have one truly awesome scene in the entire show. Everything else will just be me Ensemble Darkhorsing it up.

I'd probably be the "meganekko." The glasses wearing, sweet side character whose main role would be to support the hero/heroine, or be the person they have to save all the time. And from time to time, be the person that the rival for the romantic lead's affections falls for when they realize they can't get the girl of their dreams...lol.

I'd be the aloof, silent character with a tragic past and incredible hidden powers that is just only awaiting for that person that will allow him to open his heart. Funny that it is totally opposite to my personality, but I usually roleplay like that.

Probably the reluctant hero....with some sort of power that makes him faster, stronger, and smarter then the foes he encounters....

Silent and reflective most of the time, but loyal to a group of characters....

Though more then likely I'd be the guy who says, "Let's no fight....want to share some ramen?"

that or (unfortunetly) the "geeky older brother" whom all the siblings think is wacked....

I'd probably be the borderline-psychotic side character, the one who kind of stands to the side/back and is typically silent save for the occassional freak-out. Loyal to my beliefs and would stand up to those who would challenge me.

I'd be one of the many nameless minor characters/large faceless group whose basic purpose is either to get killed by some monster and exist so you think the world has more then just the main characters in it. If you think this is uncreative or a depressing statement about how I see myself, stop and ask yourself how many series are out there that don't have the nameless/faceless masses. Not too many, in fact most I say would need people like me. You could even say that I'm the most important character in the entire show (ok...that's a stretch...but still...).

Or...I'd just be the quiet intellectual who wears glasses.

Hmm...I'd probably be the shy girl that gets flustered or embarrassed easily, but still has a sense of reason and what's right and wrong, and has a surprisingly complex array of feelings. Possibly a good and trusted confidant, who tries her best not to judge people and give people a second chance... but still has a short temper when badly provoked ^^ And also, the girl who often overhears conversations that weren't directed at her, and is usually better at listening than talking. The kind of girl who'd get voted into being the president or vice-prez, even if she didn't want to be.

Let's go out, giggidy giggidy goo!" and then she'd get all mad and be like "You're already going out with every other hot chick there is!" but then I'd flash my perfect smile and it'd do the little "GLEAM!" thing and she'd melt and be all "I'm yours, hot stuff!" and I'd be like "All right!"

And also the UN would be like "This guy is so cool let's give him like a billion dollars for absolutely no reason!" And then I'd be rich and famous, and everyone would want to be my friend, and my superpowers would like stop world hunger and then I'd get medals and stuff.

Oh and also I would have a rocket car.

I'd be the short, common-sensical, sarcastic chick who's related or associated with the main character (somewhat like Karin, Ichigo's sister). Air heads are annoying, yet entertaining to me.

I'd be the side-kick friend (think soldiers/military/academy) that is horribly shy and very hard to draw out but if I do actually make a friend I'd die for them. Always ready for a fight but the person I think I'm protecting usually ends up taking care of me most of the time. I'd also probably have a very dry sense of humor.

Think a mixture of Lavie from Last Exile, Emma from Emma: A Victorian Romance and Tomo from Azumanga Daioh.
