Konnichiwa *Gives a slight bow*

Postby Anime_Guy_4ever » Fri May 08, 2009 2:42 am

Greetings … or perhaps I will simply stick with hello so as not to appear too formal **Puts a hand behind his head and gives a sheepish grin**

I recently have begun looking for some specific ways to honor God and encourage others through the use of electronic devices and/or means, and during my pursuit of said means I stumbled across this forum while searching for Christian anime/manga. I will have to say that I am quite pleasantly surprised!

I would have to classify my favorite hobby as anime/manga (although playing soccer and piano follow somewhat closely) and thus I am quite excited about having discovered this forum... Of course there are many forums that exist, but I have never before found a specifically Christian anime forum, and I believe this is a great idea!

A little more about myself perhaps: **Remains silent for a moment with a thoughtful pose**
Hobbies (Including such things as): Anime/manga, soccer, anime, piano (Mostly anime/video game oriented), anime, reading(Mostly fantasy), anime, youth group activities, anime, Keyboard for my youth band and/or church, and anime ( ;) ) are a few of my more involved activities.

Religious views: I would describe myself as being a conservative Christian who finds that applying Biblical truths to all ideas, situations, and circumstances is something that is extremely important to me and how I live my life. I believe wholeheartedly in the statement of beliefs that has been posted for this forum and praise God that He has sent His Son as an atonement for me and this world.
My most used/favorite verse/passage of the Bible currently is the entire passage of Psalm 51, which I have used as a model of confession extensively on differing occasions. I will most likely share my testimony at a later point in the testimonial section if anyone is interested... You can also ask me any spiritual questions or doubts that you have or would like to discuss and I would be happy to discuss or look them up with you using Biblical truth...

Favorite anime **Pulls out a rather worn looking list that trails to the floor** (What would an anime forum intro be without at least an attempt?), I have been watching anime for 8 years now and thus my tastes have changed over the years.
A perhaps peculiar effect of this is that almost any anime that I first watched is now one of my favorite series. However I still have a few series that stand out in my mind: FMA (Full Metal Alchemist), Cowboy Bebop, Death Note, Code Geass, Gundam SEED, and Hunter x Hunter, are just a very few that I have greatly enjoyed.
**Legal Sounding Disclaimer ** This list is subject to change at any time by the user and may or may not be an accurate representation of the user's fancy at any given time and thus.... **Trails off inexplicably**

Well now if I have not broken any rules by posting a long (hopefully not too boring) intro to my self I shall now open the floor for inquiry...
**Stands back and glances around the room, hoping to find a soul who is still paying attention **

Questions anyone?

Hello and a very warm welcome to you. I hope you enjoy it here. ^_^
And don't worry, your intro wasn't too long. It's great that you took the time to type it out.

**Contemplates the figure carefully**
Well now that is an interesting question, and one that I find difficult to answer. I have witnessed a series from almost every genre that I have enjoyed at some point, but I guess at the moment I am interested in more mystery/horror/action/adventure and less interested in comedy. This, of course, is a rather general statement but I think that it would accurately apply to genres that I tend to be drawn toward at the moment.

Well after that eloquent opening statement, I must say It makes me very happy to have you joining the forum. I very much liked the way you typed out the times you stopped to ponder, I've pondered doing the pondering with emote stars as well =o But what secures your spot in the forum in my book is the fact you love soccer (and anime). Welcome to the scene!

and to answer your question, I quite enjoyed Hunter x Hunter which fell under an action/adventure anime I believe... It was a little slow at the beginning but the rest of the series was most entertaining and warrants a spot on my favorites...

I see. You seem to be a very well-rounded fan according to your self-synapsys, which probably means you are a very well-rounded person altogether, am I right? Personally, I'm into just about anything, so long as it's not too graphic (with a few exceptions) or sensual in it's portrayal of characters, you know how that is. Right now, I've just finished Mobile Suit Gundam OO and have started Gode Geass. I find it interesting to see the dramatic true-to-life character development as the story progresses in both series, but mostly I watch 'em for the epic mech battles. lol
