Poll: Favorite Instand Ramen?

Postby Mithrandir » Tue Apr 13, 2004 2:07 pm

OK. I like to have ramen (or ramen like) stuff from time to time, but I can't get the kind I like at my grocery store anymore. Anyway, I bought this one called "fantastic big soup noodle bowl" that was "sesame-miso" flavor. I couldn't get through it, and in a few hours I was very unhappy I ate it. So I thought I'd see what you guys like.

I usually would get maruchan (or equivilant) cup of noodle things, but want to see what kind of variety is out there.

Among the Asian friends I have, Maruchan is voted the worst. Don't blame them, it's the "conditioned" tastebuds. Still, I can't believe there's a cheddar cheese flavor. >_<

I like Maruchaun, they are easy and well to eat during fast times. I in particular like the chicken, shrimp and tomatoe flavored. I taste the chedder style, but process cheese that sticks to the spoon isn't my thing.

Indomie/Supermie which are both indonesian instant ramen. I've eaten a lot but for me Indomie/Supermie are still the best ^^ The Korean instant ramen, "Shin" I think, is also very tasty.

Are we talking about brand names here? I'll say Smart Choice. (Or whatever's cheapest at the time.)

Yes yes, Maruchan beef flavor is the way to go for me. Though I am always open to try new brands, its nice when the one you like only costs $.15 each. ^^
Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

My mom used to make Maruchan beef and chicken ramen for me.

::sniff:: But she found out they have MSG and I haven't had a bowl since.

Ramen was one of my favorite foods...

Chapagetti for me. Best. Ramen (?). Ever.

Technically it isn't 'ramen', as it doesn't have the soup, which is the meaning of ramen. But it's still instant, it's in the same aisles on the shops as other ramens, so I take it as ramen in this case.

In Georgia Tech, ramen is basically a whole food group to itself (for students and faculty).

I have eaten so many brands.... I can remember Maruchan.... Whatever the brand, I usually get Beef or Oriental flavor.

Maruchan or Kame? noodles. I add mushrooms and green onions.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.
