I have caught a few episodes thanks to Adult Swim; though my viewing of this show has been very minimal. The comic store around here carries anime on DVD for rent so I certainly will stop down there and pick up an episode. Nice animation and cool character designs. Question is Robin a witch or a witch hunter ?

She's a Witch, well actually Craft User. I've seen a total of 4 episodes and I plan on buying the series.

Yes, Witch Hunter Robin is a very good series (so far, I've only seen 12 episodes)!! I would recommend it to all!!!

After watching the entire series once, I am confident in saying that is actually a central theme of the series.

I was quite impressed overall, though I was a little disappointed in the end since I thought its conclusion seemed rushed and unsatisfying when compared with the rest of the story....

Regardless, I think it is one of the better anime series out there and has a very good cast of characters.

(I must admit I was little creeped out realizing that I have a lot in common with Amon's personality, work ethic, attitude, and physical looks.)

Oh well, I think it is good and worth checking out.

Hey, Trigun...

I'm the mom of a 14 year old girl and an 11 year old girl. My 14 year old is allowed to watch WHR and she really likes the series so far.

You might want to explain to your mom that the term "witch" used in WHR is really kind of misleading, especially to an American or European audience.

The "witches" in WHR are genetic mutants, like the X-Men. Their powers are passed down genetically. They can be any religion or none. Robin is a practicing Catholic Christian -- allthough in an early episode she says that going to church to pray every day is something she does out of habit, later in the series she prays what appears to be a very heartfelt prayer to God asking Him to give her the strength to accept the truth about herself.

In fact, the series alludes to these people being called witches or even gods throughout history beccause people didn't understand and/or feared their powers.

Hope this helps.

Yes Ren Sama, I guess thats whats what happens. I wish they would continue it in anime form. Oh well, guess I will just have to see if the Sci-Fi series is set after the ending.
