Pet Peeves

Pet Peeves

Postby KumaruRockz » Sat Mar 21, 2009 11:25 am

Okay, we finally have a thread where we can just tell EVERYONE our biggest pet peeves. It doesn't matter if its a huge thing or a very diminutive thing.

These are mine.

1.Songs that are louder on the right or left ear instead of a perfect balance between both ears. I actually can't listen to songs like this. It's a psychological thing I guess.

2.When people take two of those cheap foam school lunch trays and rub them together. The sound literally kills me xD

3.People who take EVERYTHING literally.

4.Teenagers who act and drive like they are in the Formula 1 even though they are driving an '81 Toyota.

5.People who take too long to say one thing and never get to the point. I've been known to gesture for my friends to talk faster. Lol.

6.Anyone who makes fun of my religion.

7.Computer Desktops with bookmarks to websites on them.

8.Computer Desktops with ANYTHING other than Applications on them except folders.

9.People that ignore Myspace messages and comments.

10.When people sing out loud to songs they are listening to on their mp3 player and don't know the lyrics
so what they are trying to say comes out in Gibberish.

11.Anyone overly obsessed with a topic (except Jesus, God, or anything Christian.) especially The Jonas Brothers. It's not healthy.

12.Homemade MySpace profiles that hurt your eyes because people have no graphic skills w/e or are color-blind.

13.When people fart or burp in public and show no remorse because they think it is normal and/or don't care.

14.Ignorant people that need everything explained to them, never get jokes that are anywhere NEAR intellectual, don't read EVER, and need help with everything whether it be homework, computers, or organization.

15.When you are obviously listening to music with headphones on and someone tries to talk and you are forced to stop the music as not to be rude.

I have plenty more that I'll remember during the week and post here. Lol.

Strangely enough, a sunny day would be one. Made even weirder by the fact that I hate the dark too! I prefer an overcast day with a slight drizzle and LOTS of wind. lots.

I only have three that I can think of at the moment, I suppose.

-Disorganization. This mostly applies to my living space, but whenever something's not organized, wherever I am, I can get a little upset and stressed. >_>;

-98% of people who own pickup trucks. They can't drive them, they can't park them, the people don't care if they almost run over the top of my cute little car, and they only bought the truck so they would look "tough" and thought that if they have a bigger vehicle, they could own the road. :|
I like the other 2%, though. >_>

-People who comes online for the only reason of finding a girlfriend/boyfriend.

People that complain about how people drive as they blow through stop signs, speed and tailgate people.

The sound Styrofoam makes. Can't even think about it...

People that ignore me when I'm talking to them.

People that can't be reasoned with or that think they're always right.

People that call me Ann of Green Gables.

People that call anime , "Those little cartoons".

More later.

I ask God a lot to help me with these a lot.....

When a person's hobby is to annoy people. (Apparently these kinds of hobbies exist)

I'm calm when I talk to a person, then out of nowhere they say calm down.

When I'm answering someone's question in a normal manner and then the person says "Just asking." (I wasn't angry in the first place)

People who make obscure internet/movie/television/video game references just to be cool.

Poor grammar. XD

Also, people who try to one-up you in any situation, and people who think they know it all.

Lastly, people who stop being interested in something because it becomes "popular" or "mainstream."

This is one of mine too. Though to be fair, a lot of the time when something becomes popular, it's already played out so it's honestly not as good as it was before. But I never dislike something I previously liked for the sole reason that it became more popular. That's just dumb. XD

I was always bothered by people who, if you suggest an easier way to do something, refuse to change to doing it that way.

I'm also bothered when someone asks my opinion and then argues with it.

Let's see...I don't like it when people tell me to sit straight...and when people tell me to shower more often than I need to. Or when

Oh, here's a big one: I hate it when people play music in their headphones loud enough for me to hear it when I'm sitting beside them.

And about the weather: I don't like it when it is overcast but also bright. It's okay when raining, or when it's clear and sunny, but when the light is so diffuse, there's nowhere to rest my eyes, and I get a headache.

I don't like it when people talk about everything they like as if it's their absolute favorite, or when people talk about everything they dislike as though they mortally hate it.

I dislike it when people hold the rules as more important than the purpose behind the rules.

My pettest peeve of all, though, is when people think they know what I'm thinking, or think they fully understand me. They never do.

I hate days like that too, and for the same reason: gives me a headache! It's like the sky is too white or something. I like to wear sunglasses on days like that.

hmmm not much really bothers me too much XD, I at least try not to let things bother me too much anyways...

but there are few that seem to bother me a bit:

Fangirls/boys, not the calm, collected ones who occasionally squeal.. I'm talking the kind that will tackle you, the kind that will bum rush to get past you and who obess over. Every. Single. Thing their favorite actor or actress is doing. XD. You know? The kind with absolutely no life?

Obsessions with anything Asian just because they are fans of anime. xD I used to be this way, when I was 13 and I feel so embarrassed with myself that I was like that...

People who speak Japanese just because of Anime. (guilty, again when I was 13).

When people take up 2-4 spaces parking. It makes me think that they think that they're just too freakin' awesome and better than everyone else. It also makes me wanna key their car.
"To be a good listener, you must acquire a musical culture...you must be familiar with the history and development of music, you must listen...to receive music you have to open your ears and wait for the music, you must believe that it is something you need ...to listen is an effort, and just to hear has no merit. A duck hears also." - Igor Stravinsky
