I haven't even been seriously watching anime for a year yet, so my collection is pretty small. That and anime is expensive! Saving up for a box set takes some time and I usually get distracted by pretty manga to buy instead of anime. *sweatdrop*

Today, I picked up Basilisk full box set and Saikano... Basilisk, I just loved the regular boxset and it sounds decent enough. Saikano was dirt cheap. I thought it was a bootleg at first cause it was only 2 discs but apparently its the real deal.

Dude, you need to save your money for your permit if for no other reason than to BUY MORE ANIME!!

Seriously, FYE does trades, and anime tends to get good prices.

I'm only one disk away from finishing my Planetes collection...Volume 4...

PM me if you want to find out why in the heck I didn't go in order!

EDIT: I just got Volume 6 in the mail. (A WEEK LATER...USING FEDEX...) When I told my mom about Planetes, she just smiled and looked at me because I was acting like a kid on Christmas morning. She's not into the whole space thing....or anime for that matter...she doesn't know what she's missing!

Of course, the first thing I do when I get it--check out the extras, then watch the last episode with the commentary track on. Forget what the english v/a's say ::glares at Greg Ayres and Taliesin Jaffe with contempt:: If I shelled out XYZ for a disk and I wanna watch the commentary track first, then dawg gone it, that's what I'm going to do!

UPDATE:

Finally got Planetes Vol. 5 from eBay this afternoon! Sadly, I couldn't finish one episode becuase I had to get some sleep for work tonight. I shall correct this morning when I get off, though!

I also picked up Volumes 1 and 3 of "Comic Party" from FYE (how odd...) to finish off that set!

I'm still debating whether or not I should resume Death Note or just trade the whole kit and kaboodle...

Really, I'm terrible with explanations, but all I have to say is the violence level in this one is EXTREMELY high (I'm talking blood spraying from every which way), the sexual content is approximate to PG-13, and it has the aroma of harem all over it. Oh, and before I forget, I managed to nab "FLCL" a couple weeks ago from FYE. Interesting story: FYE sold it as Volume 1 (which was on the sticker) but when I looked at the back and at the disk itself, I discovered that it actually had all SIX episodes on it! You'll have to PM me and tell me what you think. I've seen it several times in the stores, but never thought much of it. The title reminded me of the first "Inuyasha" episode, and well, I'm still reeling from that one...

But I digress...I would like to add "Kino's Journey: Complete Collection" to my list. Best $25 (used) investment I could've made with regard to my collection. 13 Episodes of pure win. I would also like to add Mushishi Vol. 2 to my collection. I doubt I'll be able to finish the collection, and I'm cool with that because it's episodic and there are no storylines for me to agonize over. I'm also adding "Death Note: Vol 8"--I think there's ONE MORE volume left. Odd that they didn't go to 10, but I'm not complaining.

I would like to delete "Shuffle!" Volumes 1 and 2. FYE lost my disks when I tried to trade them in. Word to the wise, NEVER let Cortana Mall FYE managers hold your used disks while you look around. You're asking for trouble! PM me if you want details!

I was going to do that, but I couldn't wait. Im sorry, this is just an anime that I have to collect by each dvd. Now if the whole show came out as a whole at this very moment, then Id buy that; however since Im an impatient one, I will collect each one.
