Boondocks (12:30) 393,000

Here is a bit of news for you all.

The major reason why Adult Swim moved Code Geass to 2 am, because Bandai wasn't happy with the move. Then even Adult Swim that if they didn't move it back, that they would pull the license and offer Code Geass to Sci Fi channel.

Also, it doesn't look like Moribito will ever been showed on Adult Swim fix. When Media Blasters pick up Moribito that Media Blasters never got the streaming rights for Moribito themselves from the anime studio. So in turn, Adult Swim can't get the rights, since Media Blaster doesn't have them.

Both of this was inside info.

Code Geass R2 will take a three week break on Adult Swim starting this weekend and a new ep will not air untill Jan 10.

The reason for it is, Bandai Entertainment will not deliver the next new episode until January 10.

They are only doing two marathons this year and one of them was done last Friday night with Christmas eps.

The next one is on New Years Eve and Moral Orel marathon.

So no anime movies or anything like that this year.

KOTH is a very funny show with good values. At least it will plug up some of the trash that AS shows(Okay so FOX and FX had KOTH way before AS did, but still at least it's better than never). Although yes it's adding another hour to it's lineup, I still think that AS needed to add a better quality(It's better than Super Jail and Moral Orel.) show than the other shows that they show. And it kinda replaces Futurama.

Although this post wasn't about anime, I still enjoy AS's plan to add KOTH. It's kinda surprising though considering the values of the show are verses AS value's.

That you read is true. Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit has been emoved from Adult Swims Saturday line-up as of tomorrow. The other shows have been bumped up a slot and there will be two episodes of InuYasha anchoring the block.

Media Blasters has now stated that they actually don't have the TV broadcast license only the home video distribution and the TV deal was worked out with the Japanese producers.

Media Blasters has confirmed that the DVD release will continue.

Well I also think that CK said that because of what they are replacing it with, Inuyasha.

But yeah I'll be missing Moribito. I guess I'll just have to cough up the money for new episodes though.

So really as of now Bleach is the only reason I watch AS. However, at this rate I will be completely agreeing with CK.

Yeah, but you can't really blame Adult Swim for this untill there is more info on this. I think there is a few things for this fall out. One is, most of the time, the company that handles DVD distribution, also handles the TV distribution of the program. In this case, they didn't and the dispute is between Adult Swim and Geneon over the TV airing which caused the show to be dropped from TV. Also, when you have an anime TV deal, most of the time, the DVDs cannot be released until the episodes have already aired on TV, but they still maybe bound by the contract not to release the episodes on DVD until they have aired. So Media Blaster can't schedule the DVDs until they are planned to air on TV, or until some clause in the contract is triggered that gets them out of the obligation to wait for a TV airing.

Also, don't think that Media Blaster is going to rush out and release more volumes of the series. Tell you the truth, I have a feeling they will not have the DVD distribution rights for long.

Strange...
I'm not sure what to make of this one. Tokyopop still had the rights for the anime?

Also, if it's the edited version...which it almost certainly is, it's going to look a bit funny next to all the other shows Sci-Fi is airing.

For as I know, they still have it.

I'm a bit lost for words on why Sci Fi Channel would want this. There maybe a chance of an uncut net broadcast of the show, but I feel that its going to be the edited version, since Tokyopop maintains their stranglehold on the license, it makes me wonder if they would even want to show it uncut.

its going to feel out of place, since Gurren Lagann will air with two eps at 11 pm and then Rave Master will follow two episodes at 12 am.

I often wonder how accurate these ratings are... not that I doubt that the other (low-quality) CN shows get more viewers, but my guess is that they have a small sample and they just multiply the number of viewers by 1,000 to get the estimated viewers. I know I don't have any "ratings box" or any way for my "vote" to count... who knows.

Anyway, the low ratings for Bleach are a combination of two things: Adult Swim viewers mainly looking for tasteless humor, and so-called "true" Bleach fans already having watched fansubs. Hopefully the ratings are at least enough to keep Bleach on for people like me.

The ratings come right from Adult Swim and their viewer cards as well and they are also posted on Adult Swim message board with the screen cap of the viewer card. Believe me, it no estimated, if it was. Anime would show up even worst in an estimated viewers.

Yes, but doesn't Sci-fi Channel edit its anime too? And are they actually going to air the whole thing, which CN didn't do?

Unless I'm mistaken, they mostly make edits for commercials and such. Although, I'd imagine they would probably censor or blur extreme content like nudity, similar to Adult Swim.

At any rate. I don't believe an uncut dub exists for Rave Master, thanks to Tokyopop. Makes me wonder if Sci-Fi managed to get its airing rights extremely cheap, and is mostly using it for time filler.
