I know that in stories, characters can be whatever you want them to be. However mine is about shinigami's ( I hope that's alright for Christians to write about..I mean we watch it, so I hope it's ok.). Anyway, when I search for Shinigami stuff on google, I get Death Note, and Bleach. I'm just wondering what the general background on shinigami's is. I don't wanna divulge much of
my story openly online. It's based off a dream I just had. If anyone wouldn't mind helping me get shinigmai lore straight, I'd appreciate it. Send me a pm and I'll do my best to explain my story.

That's pretty much all I could find, though I've seen a general trend in the jobs of the shinigami in various series (Bleach, Full Moon). That is that they are responsible for bringing death.

Yeah that was pretty much all I could find too. I know that they are like reapers, or escorts for the dead, but I was wondering if there was any set rules, or if it really didn't matter?
