Nolan leaves door open to 3rd Batman film

[quote="ICv2"]In a fascinating and wide-ranging interview with Geoff Boucher in the Los Angeles Times, Christopher Nolan, director of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, provided what he called a “suitably slippery answerâ€

Nolan, last time you used The Long Halloween for inspiration, here's your next inspiration:

If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things."

Well, at least he's not just saying, "People will love the third movie because they loved the other two!" It's good that some people understand the value of a good storyline.
You can find out things about the past that you never knew. And from what you've learned, you may see some things differently in the present. You're the one that changes. Not the past.

"There's a difference between maliciously offending somebody - on purpose - and somebody being offended by...truth. If you're offended by the truth, that's your problem. I have no obligation to not offend you if I'm speaking the truth. The truth is supposed to offend you; that's how you know you don't got it."

LOL @ people thinking storyline is the only thing bringing him back. MUH-KNEE. My only hope is that they go with Riddler and Harleyquin.

[quote]But in spite of what must be extreme pressure from Warner Bros., which wants to use a sequel to The Dark Knight as the lynchpin for its entire slate of DC Comics-based movies, Nolan appears to be holding out until he can come up with the right narrative, telling the Times, “It’s all about the story really. If the story is there, everything is possible.â€

Eh. He can act like he is holding back all he wants. The fact is, they know how much money the last movie made, he knows....so the idea of someone else doing it is not gonna happen. Everyone will act and sigh and whatever. But at the end of the day, he will come back and do a third one. And yes, I think money is what motivates everything in Hollywood.

If Nolan's involved, I will have faith that it will rock. He and Burton are the only good Batman movie makers around. (doesn't even want to think about Shumacker getting anywhere near it again. shudder)
