Parn and Deedlit please. ^^
Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Kenshin and Koaru: 16
Parn and Deedlit: 11

Okay, so Kenshin and Koaru are still currently in "the lead" but there are still like four more days. Come on peoples, votes be needed *psst* Vote for Kenshin and Koaru ;)

If Parn and Deedlit wins, I will consider that an upset of the ages considering there are so many Kenshin fans here! Honestly, if Kenshin and Kaoru lose, I would start to question the dedication of these so-called Kenshin fans here.

(Yes, Miss Ashley, I did vote for Parn and Deedlit.)

*suddenly feels all alone* I really hate to stand up again you Ashley, scarey thought but I'm not going to let Omega question my dedication to Kenshin and Koaru. If only I had more Kenshin/Koaru friends to back me up

Kenshin and Kaoru! ^_^ Who else?

YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

*bonks TwilightKiss* How could you?!

I can't really vote for Parn and Deedlit even if I wanted to because I can't say I've actually seen Record of Lodoss War yet ^^; Something I've been interested in a long while though but all the same.
I can't really vote for Parn and Deedlit even if I wanted to because I can't say I've actually seen Record of Lodoss War yet ^^]*gives the stereotypical evil-kung-fu master laugh.*

I voted for Parn and Deedlit even though I have never heard of them before. I voted for them because I wanted... to truly see how far these numerous so-called Kenshin fans are willing to support their couple. If you glance at the member list, Kenshin and Kaoru should have won easily in a landslide... and the thought that any other couple has a chance against them in the final round should have been considered absurd.... But that does not seem to be the case.... It makes me wonder... why?

*pretends to caress his chin hair even though he does not have any....*

Is this Kenshin fandom here genuine?

Or is it just a fad?

We shall see.... The moment of truth is arriving.

Hmph!

*does a dramatic kung-fu leap and leaves the thread.*

:o ... Wha? Hey, wait! Just how am I suppose to reply to that? I can't even begin to "agrue" with you Omega, at least not after your rather dashing appearance in the Bishie thread and support you've shown for all of us there - but thats beside the point! But, I can't be held responsible for the lack of instrest my so called fellow Kenshin/Kaoru have shown but would be nice to know I'm not alone ... much. There are at least 17 others who have votes Kenshin/Kaoru that I've counted but all the same I suppose. ... I'm rambling now arn't I? Yeah- ^^; I think I should get going then.

blueraven, I just wanted to see a good turnout for this contest. (To me, the word "contest" implies a competitive event,... and I am a competitive person.) I thought by playing the stereotypical "instigator," I thought I can spice up this event a bit. You know... make it a little fun and dramatic.

I am not questioning your devotion as a Kenshin fan individually. I am sure it is genuine.

Maybe I was overplaying my role a bit there. I saw the "Boss," Ashley, put her support for Parn and Deedlit, and I just could not help but see this as an opportunity to be a contest that would be remembered for years to come....

I was just trying to have a little fun here. Nothing more. Please do not take offense. (By the way, my support for the women in Bishie thread is genuine.)

Okay, I had my fill. I shall be watching this thread with great interest.

I don't think I'll click on Stralight's link, simply because I don't want to find out what kind of weird computer voodoo it will bring about. :P

Anyway, I have seen both Rurouni Kenshin and Record of Lodoss War in their entirety, and I like them both. I voted for Kenshin and Kaoru, because their relationship is much more complex and developed than that of Parn and Deedlit; however, this is to be expected given that RK is nearly four times as long as Record of Lodoss War: Chronicles of the Heroic Knight.

RK fandom is not just a "fad," as you can see by my avatar that has not changed for a 2-3 months.

Omega Amen: I wasn't taking any offence. If I take offence to anything I see I try to keep it to PM in hopes to advoid missunderstandings. Everything I post, unless under a serious enough subject, I post in fun. I'm sorry for the missunderstand and so I apoligize to everyone else. Once again I've probally taken things "a little too far".

But I must admit... the fact that I see people putting couple campaign links in their signatures is just great!!!

You guys are making me blush I mean it :red:

I'm very happy to see people advertsigng this event (yes even Strayligght deserves a cookie cause of his parn/deedlit scam) I actually feel that I did something good for once! Instead of just being stupid.

Anyways...no "this is how the voting stands" for this round. We will see who will win. Remember voting ends this monday and I will anoucne who wins.....THE BEST ANIME COUPLE CONTEST!!!!\

And Omega, that post you made bout the kung-fu, couldn't stop laughing. Anyways, let's get back to voting. (this is why I usualy don't post in this thread cause I usually don't vote and then I clog it up).

Oh yeah one more thing.....I was thinking. This contest was a huge success so after brainstoriming for a while...I came up with an idea but I wont tell you any of it yet. You will have to wait till this May 2004 to find out what Other contest that I will be cooking up!!
