Name of your Church

Postby AnimePriest » Thu Apr 01, 2004 3:03 pm

hey everyone, my mind just wandered and i just felt like asking all of you what the name of your church is and how old you are.
I'm 15 and the church i go to is St. Catherine of Sienna, but i go to the 7:30 Mass which is in portuguese, so the actual church is St. Catherine of Sienna but the Mass is part of the Catholic Mission of Our Lady of Aparecida or in portuguese, Nossa Senhora Aparecida.

I attend Maranatha Bible Church but for "youth group" I go to TORCH at Westminster Church of God. *points under avatar* I'm 17 years old.

Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,

Dust thou art; to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul."

Oakcliff Church of the Nazarene

thats whats my church is called.
"People who sin say this: That they had to, to survive. People who sin say this: That it's too late to stop. The shadow called Sin dogs them steadily without a word. Remorse and Agony are repeated, to finally end up at Despair. But sinners don't know... that if they turn around, there is a light... a light which keeps shining on them every so warmly." - Vash the Stampede

Trinity Free Will Baptist Church in Mauk. My grandfather was the pastor there for a long time, till the doctors did some test and damaged his vocal cords.

Calvary Chapel Houston (which is not really in Houston, ) which is sort of a more liberal baptist, if any of you are wondering. Technically it's nondenom.

Grace Lutheran Church [of the Missouri Synod] is the name of the church that I go to.

I'm still going to the church my family goes to until I can figure out a way to not go with them. Family's "Mormon" and I don't consider myself a part of that church anymore. They don't know that yet, though. I'm seriously doubting that I'll have their support in this.
I've never attended any other church's services other than those from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon). I'm still trying to figure out how to find a church to attend. Very few of my local friends are Christians.

My home church is Grace Evangelical Free Chruch in SW NH. Our pastor is incharge of all the E-Free churches in New England. He recently asked my wife and I if we would attend another church that has been struggling and try to help them out. So now I have been at the Keene E-Free Chruch.

When we are in NY, which isnt often, we attend Park E-Free Church in New City.
Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

That's two others from Calvary Chapels as well. I go to Calvary Chapel Aurora in, well, Aurora. As far as I can tell all of the "Calvary Chapels" have their spiritual heritage in one Calvary Chapel pastored by Chuck Smith in Costa Mesa, CA.

Here's the church website if you would like to see it: http://www.calvaryaurora.org/

There are also free mp3 bible studies on the website as well, if you would like to take advantage of them.

I doubt they will be very supportive, but I do encourage you to find a place of worship to call your own. I will pray that you find one.
