What's your favorite Leijiverse Anime?

Postby NekoChan_C » Sun Jul 13, 2008 9:04 pm

Okay, so I just finished watching Interstella 5555, the "visual realization of Daft Punk's Discovery album", an anime based completely on music by Daft Punk, with animation provided by Toei, and done in the trademark style of Leiji Matsumoto...

basically, it's an hour long AMV. ^_^

And since I LOVE Matsumoto-san's style, it got me itching to watch other Leijiverse titles... Yamato, Captain Harlock, Galaxy Express... so, now I wanna know: What's some of your favorite Leiji anime???

The old stand-by, "Galaxy Express 999". There's no equal...
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May He cause His face to shine upon you.
May He lift up His countenance and grant you peace.

Maokun: Ninjas or Pirates? (Vikings are not a valid answer, sorry)

EricTheFred: Vikings are always a valid answer.

Largo: "Well Ed, good to see ya. Guess I gotta beat the crap out of you now."

Jamie Hyneman: "It's just another lovely day at the bomb range. Birds are singing, rabbits are hopping about, and soon there's going to be a big explosion."

I have very fond memories of watching Captain Harlock and "Starblazers", the American version of Battleship Yamato... <3
