I hate religion, so much... but I'm... Christian?

First of all, let's address the "rules" part of your dilemma. God didn't set these "rules" to keep us from having fun. He wants us to have fun, trust me! He loves it when we are happy! He wants us to rejoice!
Those "rules" are put in place because he LOVES us. Think about it. If you and your boyfriend had sex right now. But you realized that you don't want to be together anymore... you could be REALLY hurt from that. And if anyone starts sleeping around they are posing a risk of STDs... 1 in 2 women have HPV...which can cause cancer...and cause to women to not have kids. Many women who finally do get married want to have kids but can't because they were so quick to give themselves away...
About homosexuality...it's wrong. I'm sorry. God didn't make humans to love the same sex that way. And many problems have been caused because of all this immorality (including the beforementioned premarital sex stuffs)
As for those who are doing all this and still call themselves Christians. I don't believe they are going to go to hell for what they are doing, but at the same time they are putting a huge barrier between their relationship with the God they serve...
God LOVES us, he wants to have a relationship with us. He doesn't want us to be puppets on a string...he gave us free choice, but at the same time it's our choice to follow God and worship Him because HE DESERVES it!
I'm not here to judge you, I honestly am not...but maybe you are having such a hard time with this because you have all these issues in your life? Give them God, he can handle listening to your problems! ^_^
As for reading what you are reading.... I go to Phillipians 4:8 for that...
Again this isn't set in place to keep you from having fun. It's to keep you from going crazy. Right now you are reading so much stuff... that you are getting confused. It's not necassarily WRONG to read that stuff...but only if you just want to know more about it so you can....not be ignorant? But it's definately dangerous territory...as the Devil can use that as a foothold to try to distract you from God.
I don't believe that people can lose their salvation if they were sincere when they accepted Christ. I don't see God as the kind of person that would offer you a gift and then take it away...
As for not wanting to be called a "christian" because you don't want to be called a "Bible Thumper" that's a little understandable. But at the same time, not all Christians ARE Bible thumpers. Just like not all muslims are terrorists. and back in the 1940s not all Germans were Nazis. O_o
Unfortunately there are a lot of Christians out there who are too harsh, and they need to take a step back and show the world CHRIST's LOVE.
Finally, when the world is Corrupt all you can do is be who God CREATED you to be! ^_^
God doesnt' cause confusion, it's when we aren't listening to him that we get confused...
Sorry for ranting, and I'm sorry if what I had to say doesn't make a lick of sense.

I know the most religious I have been was when I was seeing things (I don't know how to explain it... tall dark people in my room all the time when I woke up in the middle of the night)
and when I was so intriqued with the Second Coming.
I just need to find a passion for it again.
I also don't know HOW to even begin talking to my boyfriend about it.
I mean, we've debated religion for hours and hours. He believes in a higher being, but finds it absolutely silly that some man lived 2000 years ago and saved us all. The whole struggle between good and evil seems like a fairy tale to him.
I think I would be a lot happier if I knew other christians, faithful christians, and I would be so happy if my boyfriend was one of them.
I just don't know what to say to him to bring him to salvation...
He blesses you in many ways every day-the devil wants to steal the memory of those things, though.
