I usually tune out Engrish unless it happens to be impressively hilarious, but I haven't been around Toronto for a while, so I haven't really seen much lately.

Here is another funny clip of Engrish....
it requires a bit of setup though for the non Japanese speaker.

The way to say shrimp in Japanese is ebi
the way to say prawn is kurumaebi
side note... the way to say car in Japanese is kuruma.

Here the guy asks "how do you say "ebi" in English?
He is then instructed "shrimp"
soooo the next thing he wants to say is prawn (kurumaebi).... but he already knows how to say "kuruma" in English....car. So in his precious little mind... kuruma+ebi=car shrimp but little does he know that car shrimp are prawn are not alike!!! soooo cute!!

Okay, so there's this Chinese seaweed soup that they sell at my local Asian market. It comes in bags attached to a cardboard back with stuff written on it in Chinese and English. Unfortunately [for those who wrote it, but fortunately for us, yuk yuk yuk...], it says

"Planty Spices"
"Nutritious and Conveniences"
"Add one more egg, test better"
"Poring boiling water, can eat immediately"

Is that a winner or what? XD
