On Animal Planet, I watched a special about a lion who would "steal" young gazelles (one at a time) and then treat them like a cub--washing them, watching them. They would then either eventually die because they couldn't get to their mothers to nurse or they would run away back to their mothers.
But it was amazing to me that this lioness would care for them so much instead of just simply eating them.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
