Okay, so some of you may know that I'm having a baby... If you didn't know, well, yeah. I'm having a baby.

I have gotten really excited lately, as I stumbled across some really adorable anime inspired baby wear (such as on Cafepress...) but there isn't a lot -- or any, really -- in the way of anime/asian inspired bedding sets for the crib...

Does anyone on here know of a custom tailor/seamstress/online shop that i could purchase some gear worthy of an Otaku for my baby's room?? I'm also looking for game related stuff... I'm kinda hot on having a Metal Gear Solid crib set... maybe with a Snake plushie... ^///^

Worst case scenario, I would consider making the stuff myself, but I'm not sure exactly how to go about it. Anyways, any help or suggestions you guys have would be appreciated. I'm not due until January, but I want to start getting things ready as soon as possible!

Seems to be baby boom season, a lot of my friends who recently got married are having children.

Yeah, I don't have any suggestions unfortunately, but congratulations! Yay for babies. I wish I could have one, but it's not really a good idea yet, I don't think.

I don't know about things like sheets, but a lot of places will allow you to use a photo for a blanket or pillow, etc., although you'd probably have to design the image yourself or have someone else do it for you. If you want a clock or posters or even a teddy bear, http://www.cafepress.com is EXCELLENT. They don't do blankets, but they do pillows. They also have baby clothes if you want some more of those. Not really any suggestions (except that GameStop has Nintendo character wall clings of Mario (maybe on the DS Kart), Link, Samus, Donkey Kong, and one other character I can't remember), but congratulations on your baby! ^.^

AWWWWW! That baby was adorable!!! Oh, man... my baby is DEFINITELY gonna cosplay!!!

Thanks so much for everyone keeping their eyes open... I really need to learn to sew... there just isnt that much stuff out there for otaku freaks like me who want to inundate their clonelings with anime/game stuff from birth!!! >_<

and I'm due January 10, 2009... although that could change when I get the sonogram.

I'm sure if you were willing to brave some japanese sites you might find something, but probably more along the lines of "generic adorable anime character 'a'" rather than "solid snake crib." Since Anime isn't really aimed at babies (and Metal Gear definitely isn't hehe) there isn't a market for that stuff in baby form at all over here. What odd items you find you're extremely lucky if you find them. Your choices would probably be either stick with the traditional stuff or make your own.

Who knows? You do it well enough you might find a market selling the stuff.

I suppose you could search on Amazon. Com, Ebay and other online stores..That is all I can think of atm.

The only thing I was able to find in the way of kid's bedroom decor from anime shows is Speed Racer. And of course, there's probably lots of Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh bedding and such. Any popular kid's anime in the US will likely be heavily merchandised. Check out Wal-Mart or Target.

If you have a girl, Sailor Moon swag is probably the easiest to find on the internet.

There seems to be a lot of random stuff to sift through on ebay. And if nothing else, there's tons of anime posters and wall scrolls to decorate with that you can find practically anywhere.
