Soooo, Mr.SmartyPants, Peanut, and myself (along with one or two others) are trying to get a skit together for the masquerade at Otakon this year!!!
We want it to be EPIC WIN and not cliche, boring, overdone, too obscure, or just plan stooooopid. XD

Sooo...we want YOUR helpful and creative ideas. We're tyring to put this together as best we can... but we need your help as potential audience members! haha Aaaaannd... I'll see if maybe we can get someone to film, so that we can share the awesomeness with you all later!!

Well.... we're still trying to figure all of that out... I'm open to being anyone. Though I was leaning more towards Re-L Mayer from Ergo Proxy. But, I can change that depending on the skit outline. Ryan is open to whatever. Peanut was thinking of being Weighted Companion Cube from Portal XDDD! haha We realize it may be random~~!~

We're not really looking for awards and stuff.. just fun and memories!

Well, for a quick, cheap gag, you could have the Peanut Companion Cube pull out a prop cake, exclaim, "Look! It's a cake!", then have the others yell, "LIES AND TRICKERY!".

EDIT: ALTERNATELY, you could have everyone look at the audience and say in a stern voice, "NO, WE'RE NOT GOING TO SAY IT."

We were actually thinking of making fun of the fact that it's such an overly-used joke/meme. XD

We've come to two decisions:

1. A group of people performing a skit, but someone "forgets" their line, thus a whole argument sparks and we just basically playfully belittle each other's character. I'm particularly fond of this bit we thought of:

Peanut: <Says something> *starts shifting around*
Me: "Dude... what are you doing?"
Peanut: "I'm trying to get in character"
Me: "Dude... you're an inanimate object. You don't have any character."
Peanut: "... I'm just trying to help!"
Me: "John... you're a friggen BOX. A BOX. You don't even speak."
Peanut: "I'm technically a Weighted Companion Cube..."
Me: "...... same thing".

2. Anime characters that try to reenact famous movie scenes.

Also, I had an idea at work...we'd smash all of the various movie scenes we were going to parody into one giant, unoriginal, crossover extravaganza trailer directed by Uwe Boll...however for the idea I was thinking of we would need a Snake cosplayer (or a TF2 spy at the worst...but I would prefer Snake...)...and no it can't be you Ryan...you'd have to be friend...but yeah that was my idea I got during work...it's another variation of the movie idea...

and yes...please give us ideas...cause ideas are good...and we loves them...

Hm. You guys could all cosplay TF2. Any number of fun stuff you could do from there. One of you would definitely have to be a spy, disguised though. Maybe the disguises could be the joke. Different anime characters just printed on to a sheet of paper tied to your face.

I do feel rather noobish though... in that I'm not too well versed in video games at the moment. I played some Portal and saw the whole thing played by my friends so I understand it. But I don't know most of the gaming jokes...though I'm willing to learn.
I still kind of have my heart set on Re-L, so I'm not so sure how this will play in. I'm willing to help as much as I can...

I don't think we should do all TF2 characters...as much as I would love to do that...I don't think it would be the best idea...having the crossovers I think makes this kind of funny...it sort of adds to the armature charm we seem to be going for...

You don't. In fact, about half the people don't.

Dude, this would be amazing. I think you could pull off the crossover too... although it's true that not many people would recognize Friend. But masquerade should always be enjoyable to people who don't know the series or characters portrayed (except maybe Portal because that's kind of A Big Deal).

Hrmmm... you could have Re-L play the role of Chell, but with Re-L snarkiness and butt-kickery. I still have no clue what Friend would do.

Seeing as how some of these appear to be exactly the same as crossover fanfics and seeing how all of us will probably end up cosplaying as characters from completely different anime/games...this is a major possibility.

Yes...that is a Phoenix Wright/Death Note crossover...and it actually isn't that bad I think...I mean cheesy but not that bad...
