Would it be weird to apply here? job Q.

Would it be weird if as a totally white business major I applied to work at a bank that said this in their "Vision and History" section of their website?

Established in 1982, Hanmi Bank was founded to serve the Korean-American Community. Since then, we have grown into the largest Korean-American Bank in the United States, with more branches in California than any other. Hanmi Bank also has the fastest growing nationwide presence of any Korean-American Bank.

ummmm I don't think they can actually say no to you because that would be discrimination but i'm not sure how fair they are in terms or promotion and pay. That has to be your gut call but make sure you like Korean Americans lol

Just don't go riding in the desert on your dirtbike with a Glock in your pants, wipe out, almost die, and have the cops find out about it. Even fast food cringes at you. Don't ask me how I know.

Express interest in getting to learn more about the Korean-American community. A little research might not hurt, too. It's quite possible that the company would benefit from having an "outsider" with a new perspective, right?

Agreed. While they may prefer A Korean-America (At least know both languages) for hire, I can't see why you may not have a good shot at this!.

With all of that in mind, I would also pray about it. Make sure this is part of God's plan for your life.

the only feasible barrier I could see is a request to speak korean, as that could both fit the company and the target market.

and Tundrawolf... WTH... stay on topic.
