Hey! Remember Flying House...

What I want to know is was that really the first Christian Anime?
I did used to watch that show when I was a kid and I recently learned that it was produced in Japan...I also heard that it inspired the concept of Magical Shopping Arcade (Abenobashi)...wow. Did anyone else know this?

Oh yeah, I used to watch this way back in the 80s. XD I haven't seen it in a really long time though. I guess it was the first Christian anime, unless Superbook was made first.

Yeah, according to Wikipedia, Superbook came first, then The Flying House the following year.

Yeah, I also watched it when I was little. We actually have the 3 dvds that have been released so far, for my little sisters.

Wow, I think I used to watch it here and there when it was on TBN at 7 in the morning on Saturdays.
Or was the Super Book?
I've probably seen both.

Oh, yeah!

The first Superbook came first, then Flying House, then the second batch of Superbook (the one with a little cousin moving around instead of Joy and Chris). I liked Flying House the best among the three because the group was funnier, and were not as goody-two-shoes as the ones for Superbook. ^^

I liked Flying House more than Superbook as well. Despite watching it and liking it, I found Superbook, even as a child, vaguely corny, while Flying House had a more intriguing set-up and better, more likeable characters. I also liked that in the end the characters managed to get home in the end.

I think I saw both of them.....in Sunday School/Children's church even.....actually, my church might still own Flying House. I don't remember much....except the professor and the robot. I remember thinking that the art was really weird.
"To be a good listener, you must acquire a musical culture...you must be familiar with the history and development of music, you must listen...to receive music you have to open your ears and wait for the music, you must believe that it is something you need ...to listen is an effort, and just to hear has no merit. I also remember seeing Flying House! Whow, that brings back memories! I'd love to go back and re-watch this someday. I'm sure now it would be incredibly cheesy but I'd still enjoy it I bet.
