Vash showing up at VBS?

Postby Popsicle » Tue Jun 17, 2008 1:14 pm

I'm leading a group of kids at my church's vacation Bible school and the theme this year is western stuff. One of the actors that's part of the story time at VBS is dressed really similarly to Vash from Trigun and he even has long blonde hair! It's so funny! And Vash would fit perfectly in our western themed VBS so I thought it was a odd coincidence. Now every time I see him, I think of him shouting "Love and peace!" randomly at the little kids!

Has anyone ever seen someone that looks like an anime character, but wasn't cosplaying?

Ummm, does it count that I tend to base most of my daily outfits on cosplay themes? I sometimes do a gothic lolita outfit for work, and I tend to wear cat ears just about everywhere... people don't really "get" it though... *sigh*

I have a friend who COULD look like a Gothic Vash if he wanted to, but he doesn't (even though he wears a long, black trenchcoat similarly styled to Vash's).

Sad, I knows.

It isn't "Avalanche Ranch" by any chance, is it? Our church did that last year and I was "Rowdy" the cowboy......but that was before I was into Trigun and I went for the comical oversized 10-gallon hat with an arrow through it.

I've seen a guy who looks a bit like Ishida from Bleach at my work. Not out-fit wise though and maybe a bit more of an emo-Ishida.

My brother looks a lot like Keitaro from Love Hina. :3

Though he'd like to argue that he is "the spitting image of Keitaro from Love Hina," as he put it.

Oooh! My two best guy friends are suuuuuch caricatures of anime characters! haha Sean is 6'2", with a broad, long torso and long skinny legs. Keith is the same way, but he's 6'4"! Sean is definitely Ichigo from Bleach in personality as much as looks! And Keith, well he's exactly like Kyoshiro from Samurai Deep Kyo. VBS = <3

I saw two girls once who were dressed normally, but their hair was dyed and done up in such a way that they looked like they stepped right out of the world of anime. I can't remember what game it was... Darn it. One of them had dark reddish brownish hair and the other had blonde hair.

Nah...my church is doing "Dry Gulch." Our set is awesome on stage! The kids love it too. :P

My niece. (20-ish college student). She actually is a cosplayer, but when she's just being herself, she looks like she must be cosplaying someone. I've asked her more than once "so who's this supposed to be?" and she looks at me funny and says "ME!!!"

Vash at VBS... well, better him than Wolfwood, I guess...

haha, I think Vash would be the first person I would want at VBS if the choice was out of all the characters in Trigun. There are some scary ppl in that show.

Imagine seeing someone that looked like the big, weird bounty hunter in the first episode of Trigun. I would run away! :wow!:
