Who will be in LA this year?

Looking to do dinner one of the evenings, as we have in the past, so if you could mention the days you're going to be attending if you're interested, and more discussion could be initiated with regards to that once we have a decent sampling of what attendees will be attending what days.

With my current work schedule, I'm looking at getting my ticket wednesday if they offer that, and attending thursday evening, all of friday, sat and sunday.

Urgh... my current plan is to leave work early on Thursday to pick up my two-day badge (for Friday and Saturday). I might be around on Thursday but won't be directly in the conv.cen. or the exhibit hall (or "dealers' room" for those fond of understatement).

Lodging will be challenging. What ruined my experience last year was not knowing when or where I would lay my head. If I don't stay in a h/motel, my closest "free" option is crashing with family in Chino. Not ideal ><. If there's gonna be an inn like last time, someone let me know...

I'll be attending all four days, supposing my boss doesn't decide that he needs me to come in on some random day. I'm trying to work out the lodging as best I can (currently awaiting word from a couple of friends), but as a last resort I may need to employ the LA transit system for all four days and leave earlier each day than I would rather (I don't wanna leave!!! T__T).

I'm sure we can work something out. Currently I'm exploring options in Long Beach (DOESN'T THAT SOUND AWFULLY FAMILIAR), which is directly south of the convention center and is theoretically a 25 minute drive away--not that close, but not as punishing a drive from Chino.

If you (or any male) are interested, PM me. Otherwise, I'll just let this idea die.

Theoretically Chino is about 30 miles if you're on the close side of the city.

Chino is about a 45 minute drive from LA in good traffic. My aunt and I are going to take a test drive sometime soon...at 5:00 in the morning

I will be there all 4 days in Artist Alley (first time w00t), but I still need to check up with Debitt as to which hotel we're staying at.

I'm planning on going, probably going cheap and doing a one day thing, probably either Saturday or maybe Friday. I suppose I should look into car pool options soon too.

I think I will be there for one day, but I'm not sure which. The move to LA made it too far to drive everyday, and the last two AX's have been less than impressive.

I do still want to meet up with all of you, though. That's always the bright spot and I'd hate to miss it.

I found and reserved a hotel room that is 1). cheap and 2). walking distance away from the ConvCen. If anyone (male) needs a place to lay their head let me know, but as a caveat, there is only one queen sized bed so you'll either have to share it or use the floor. (I think I'll bring along my spare cot).

In the general vicinity of Los Angeles Convention Center, some day between July 3rd and July 6th.

This thread is to get people somewhat organized so we CAN figure out where and when to meet.

Sounds good, but you may want to eat somewhere inside the convention center as the outside area isn't in the greatest area of L.A.

Not a bad idea... this calls for one of those stock-up trips to Costco next Wednesday after work and Day Zero... if I have enough time, that is.

Probably a given, but WATER, or a bottle to fill up. Last year they didn't have water around, and while I think they're amending that this year, you can never be too careful. :3

(and yes, mechana2015, I'm definitely going. I even agreed to carpool other people too - mainly so I could make someone else navigate. I could get lost in a parking lot!)

pretty much at this point... everyone needs to try to post what day they'll be there for certain if they're interested in meeting anyone and possibly start discussing a way to find each other. I sure don't have a big sign over my head screaming CAA member. This is particlularly aimed at those I have not MET at AX before, rkfan and ep, if you want to meet any of the other members there. (Almost everyone that posted other than you guys has ways to get in contact with almost everyone else.)

The above comment applies to anyone else who adds on to this thread. I'm sort of skimming on the dinner right now since people are seeming uncertain of schedules. ALSO the dinner...if planned will NOT be thursday night, unless someone else plans and orchestrates it, as I will be at cosplay events and the AMV contest until around 11 at night.

Also AX doesn't have the programming schedule posted yet and we usually spend a lot of time watching the anime so we may be off watching who knows what when you guys plan to meet.

I found the programming schedule up last night? Its under attendees programming and at the top of the page... there's about 4 PDFs.

Our meeting location will probably be at an artists alley table, B-28. Sirthinks2much will be one of the people there.

You found the A.X. programming for anime videos?!?

Every time I click on the convention info icon then click on the video programming icon all I ever get is 'coming soon' instead of lists of what anime will be shown where at what time. I couldn't find anything under attendees about the anime showings so I must be looking in the wrong place.

I think the website hates me and likes you better! I noticed you've got a quote by c.t. girl on your post - did you know she's coming too?

I'll definitely cruise by artist alley now that I know CAA people are there. I usually go by and visit Haku Baikou. Don't know if she's a christian, but she's really nice and a very talented artist. Er, is it B28 or D38 for the meeting place?

I bought some of her stuff last year and just recently found her on DA. She's a lovely artist. Her table's B08.
