Bad movies you actually like

TV, Movies, Sports...you can find it all in here.

Here are some of mine:

Kung Pow: (Oh man, this movie is terrible! But it has so many quotable lines..and its badness makes it hilarious.)

High Strung: (Made by the same guy who did Kung Pow --basically it's a movie about a guy complaining and wishing he were dead --and Jim Carrey is the Grim Reaper...)

Dragonheart: (Not sure why people call it bad. Everyone that I've shown it to loved it. I mean, come on, Sean Connery is a dragon!)
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

"Since the creation of the Internet, the Earth's rotation has been fueled, primarily, by the collective spinning of English teachers in their graves."

Are we talking about movies that are mostly rejected by society, but you still enjoy regardless?
Because how can one find a movie bad if they liked it...?

EDIT: Isn't the Wicker Man a comedy? XD

Pitch Black -I enjoyed it so much more than the Chronicles of Riddick.

Reign of Fire -It had dragons, okay.

The new TMNT movie -It was awful -really, really bad- but my friend and I did an impromptu MST3K on it, so that made it fun.

A number of the people I know consider Princess Bride to be bad, so I'll put that on.

Transformers, the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and Brothers Grimm.

"Why, because it's actually raining fire?"

"No, because much like Reign of Fire, there isn't a single dragon on screen."

I thought of another one; Serenity. I'm not sure if it would be considered bad, but I don't think many consider it good. I liked it though.

Actually, Serenity is considered to be VERY GOOD. But only by people who saw the TV series Firefly. For everyone else, its just good.

Okay, then it must be just good for me, since I haven't seen Firefly.

I have to add that I like FF7: AC too! And I own it.

Dragonheart: Not sure why this is considered so bad.... O.o I LOVE IT!

Quest for Camelot: After buying the DVD just last month I realized how awesomely cheesy this movie is.... however... I STILL LOVE IT.

Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children: I'm not quite sure why people hate this movie so much....(went out and bought the LTD: Collectors Edition for $50 CAD) ... *shrugs* but if nothing else ... blame Kadaj. XD *gets out katana to deflect all objects thrown her way*

Lion King II: Simba's Pride: I've had people say this is the stupidest movie ever but I ...*gets ready for the tomatoes* ALMOST... like it MORE than the orginal..XD

I also want to add Cool World to the list. It's like Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Without the good part.

Lady in the Water: I think I only like this movie because it's an M. Night Shyamalan movie. My newspaper considered it one of the worst movies made by Hollywood this century, but still... It's Paul Giamatti! And he's stuttering! Add in the film critic describing his own death and M. Night Shyamalan apparently leading a revolution to save the world, and you have both a bad movie, and one of my favorites. Okay, maybe not one of my favorites, but I like it.

I know of people and critics who didn't like The Village. I liked it, though I don't consider it as bad as Lady in the Water.

Now, I don't know whether or not I should put this on, but of course, many people consider the Star Wars prequels to be bad movies. I believe that these people have valid points (usually), and when compared with the originals, it's no contest, the prequels are definitely not as good. However, I do like the prequels. Maybe because I was a kid when I saw the first two. Maybe because they had lightsabers. Maybe because Yoda fought Christopher Lee. Still, I like all three Star Wars prequels. I don't really consider them bad movies. I definitely don't consider Revenge of the Sith a bad movie. Don't know if I really consider it a good one, though...

What??? How is The Princess Bride a bad movie?!?! *fumes*

So, when you guys say "bad movie," do you mean morally bad, poorly done, or both?

And would you consider Ferngully a "bad" movie? Used to be one of my favorites when I was little, but I didn't care about the fairies. I only watched it because Batty was my favorite character.

Heck, I'd even watch it now just so I could see the scenes with Batty. That's kind of how I feel about the rest of the movie. XD

How about Chicken Run? Critics hated it, but I thought it was good. Sort of a Hogan's Heroes/Great Escape thing. But with Chickens. :D

I'll see if I can come up with any more movies later.

EDIT: *reads Mister Frodo's post, as he posted before I finished writing this* Oh yeah...and I think I'm one of the few people on this planet who don't consider Jar-Jar the worst mistake Lucas made in making the Star Wars movies. I mean, come on...what's wrong with a little comedy relief, huh? And it's not like he turned the whole movie into an unbearable laugh-fest.

What? Princess Bride is a bad movie? Inconcievable!

As for me, I enjoy M. Night Shyamalan's movies, even though they are generally disliked by the critics.

Movies That People Apparently Think Are Bad Yet I Love:

Star Wars - ALL of them. I like them all, even though the acting is only intermittently good (Alec Guiness, Christopher Lee, Ewan McGregor, Harrison Ford...), the script is severely lacking nearly all the time, and they spend too much time on the effects rather than a good story. My favorite Episode is The Phantom Menace, and one of my favorite characters is Jar-Jar Binks. So there XP

The Princess Bride ("He didn't fall?! Inconceivable!")

Home Alone ("You're scared of the dark too, Marv.")

The Village ("Why will you not say what is in your head?" "Why will you not stop saying what is in yours?")

Lady in the Water ("Baby's on the half-tip.")

Unbreakable ("They called me Mr. Glass.")
You can find out things about the past that you never knew. And from what you've learned, you may see some things differently in the present. You're the one that changes. Not the past.
- Ellone, Final Fantasy VIII
