Snowflake Adoption

Postby Sheenar » Fri May 09, 2008 6:36 pm

I just did a persuasive speech on this on Thursday and saw this article in an email today. Thought I would share it.
It is about embryo adoption. I'm so glad that there's a program like this out there--too often these children are overlooked or treated as if they are not alive...

Let me know what you guys think. No debates please.

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

I saw an article referring to Snowflakes some time ago. If I remember correctly, the article featured a family whose children came from frozen embryos rescued from New Orleans right after Hurricane Katrina.
I have adopted and foster family members, and some people who've been important to me are adopted. I think it is awesome (forgive the much abused descriptor but it's accurate here). I wish more people would adopt kids. I could actually get a real good rant going on the topic, but I'll exhibit self-restraint and limit it to my sincerest wish that more people would adopt kids, no matter how their existence started.
