Postby mitsuki lover » Fri Apr 04, 2008 12:19 pm

A friend of mine e-mailed an article about David Tennant the current Dr.Who.
Part of the article stated that he is considered the most popular actor to play the role of the Doctor. He even beat out perennial favorites Jon Pertwee and
Tom Baker!
Wheter this has to do with the fact that he is the Doctor of record or with his
personal charm remains to be seen.

Tennant Trivia:

*Ethnicity:Scots
*Real Name:McDonald
*Father:Former Moderator of the Church of Scotland
*Grandfather(Maternal):Famous soccerer player in North Ireland(name
McLeod)
*Born:1971
*Wanted to act:Since age 3

He also appeared in Hamlet in the starring role opposite Patrick Stewart as
Claudius.(The article was written before the new season was filmed.)

I don't know. It depend if he holds the role as long as Tom Baker

David Tennant is amazing.
He just butts Tom Baker and John Pertwee from the role.
But really, all the Doctor Who's are played quite differently.
The first Doctor Who was a shocker - bad!

My favorite Doctor is Doctor Cox.

In all seriousness though... I do like tennent, though I liked the previous doctor as well, for all of his intensity and whatnot.

My sister has the first season with David Tennant. I saw him first on youtube and recommended Doctor Who to her, saying "You'd really like this!". She didn't believe me at first. He he he... Now she's hooked.

Yes, David Tennant rocks. He rules all the doctors in my opinion.

I really liked Tennant. I liked Christopher Eccleston a lot in the first revival series, but Tennant has eclipsed him entirely, though it took me a while to warm to him (I thought it a hopeless case in the New Earth episode of the 2nd series - man I hate that episode). But now I can't imagine the series without him.

I have seen a serial with the first Doctor, the crusty old man. I thought he was rather good. Can't say the same about the effects, which certainly weren't special.
