Purty nice invention. Now, I won't have to waste two minutes making my bed by hand. :P

For the record, I don't make my bed up in the morning. Rather, I make it up about 30 seconds before I get in it, so I won't wake up in the middle of the night and wonder why my covers everywhere but on top of me and I'm freezing.

I don't have to make my bed, 'cause it's so high up that no one will see the mess anyway (and if I do make it I'll bump my head on the ceiling )

It's the principle of the thing. It's unnecessary, so regardless of how much time it takes to do it, it's still a waste of time. Kinda like lottery tickets. Yeah, they're only a dollar. That's not a lot of money. But even if it isn't a lot of money I'm still not going to buy it.

I'm kind of a domestic-type person that likes to have things in order, but I only make the bed when it gets really twisted up. Nobody goes in our bedroom but us anyway, so it doesn't occur to me to make it all pretty when I get out of it. Honestly, it'd be kinda ridiculous if I did, because we currently sleep on an air mattress. >_>

Anyway, self-making bed? Sounds like more trouble than it's worth, honestly.

10 seconds x 365 days x 70 years(approximation of a life-span) = 255,500 seconds (AKA 4,258 minutes, AKA 70 hours, AK just under 3 days) I have plenty of others things which deserve that time more than making a bed that's going to be messed up so soon. ;)

I could care less about the bed maker thingy, but some of the posts in this topic are very entertaining. I like to keep things looking decent, but when it comes to the bed... I just have a sleeping bag thrown over the sheets for now.

I spend those 10 seconds wondering if I want poptarts, a honeybun or to just stop and grab something on the way to work... because it's too late to fix something nice for breakfast.

Ok. This is what I do:
Have someone put the bottom sheet on the bed for me (I can't do it to save my life). Make the rest of the bed --nice and neat.
So I don't have to re-make the bed in between washing the sheets, I just sleep on top of the sheets/comforter with a blanket. All I have to do in the morning is fold the blanket and put it at the foot of the bed. So simple.
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Ha, that's exactly what I do here at college. Although I need to wash that bottom sheet - thanks for the reminder.

I have to agree with ChurchPunk on this one. You are spending close to three days of your life just making your bed when you could be doing something more productive, like writing a book or hanging out with your soon to be wife! ^-^

Because I'm a light sleeper and lots of things will wake me up. Once I do, it's hard to go back to sleep, so I do everything I can to be as comfortable as possible. I value my sleep. A lot. XD

I thought that's what everyone does o.o I guess not o.o? All I do is sit up and fold my covers half way down and I'm good to go. Is that considered making my bed o.o?
