Well, I believe God put me in the right place at the right time for this one.
I was at safeway trying to quickly find the best price on shavers, since my last one rusted. Well, Just when I was about to leave, a boy said hi to me and I said hi back. He then asked me how old I was, I told him I was 20, he told me he was 19. Then he went on to tell me his name was Justin. And this is roughly how it went.
Justin: Hey, I just moved back here from college and was wondering what stuff there is to do for 19-20 year olds. What stuff do you do.
me: *sighed* I just work and stay home. Not much realy around here that interests me. *thinks for a bit* Well, the only thing I can think of is young life, which my oldest Bro in law put together here since there really is nothing.
Justin: Well, I'm not really religious anymore. I mean, I havn't lost it completely...I know there's a holy spirit. And I asked God before to guide me and lead me and show himself to me, but I didn't see, feel, or hear anything. I'm just kinda at a low end.
Me: I think I know just how you feel...When I was 16, my two dogs I had since I was 2 had to be put down, the next month my grandma died, the next month my best friend died in a car accident...
Justin: Actually that's why I'm here, because of my best friend. He was my roommate. He had a heart attack. He was really into coke, as was I. The scary thing was, was that I was taking nearly twice as much as him, yet he was the one who had a heart attack and died twice on the way to the hospital. And when he finally got out he came back and wanted to do more again. I freaked and decided I couldn't stay there anymore and decided to move back with my parents.
Me: *trying not to cry* Well, I do know that a lot of the highschoolers around here go to Young Life, maybe you could check it out and see if they could also show you some other things to do?
Justin: *long pause* I guess. When is it?
Me: ...I don't know. o_o but. ^_^ *pulls out cell phone* let me give him a quick call (calls, gets info)
justin: mondays at 7? ok. thanks. (walks off)
me: ^_^ (looks at cell phone clock) O_O I'm gonna be late if I don't leave now! (puts stuff back and rushes to car, makes it to work five minutes early)
*ahem* so...anyway. I'm not sure if he will go or not, but I pray that somehow God will show Himself to be quite real to him. Can you pray for him too? thank you.

I will be praying for Justin too. Sounds like he's hurting and searching...I pray God draws him to Himself.
