I thought flu season was over? Well, almost, at least.

I somehow made it out without contracting it this year, though my brother got a nasty case a few months ago. XD Sorry you aren't feeling well, though!

These last couple of years, I get sick about 3 times during the winter... probably due to lack of sleep. I just got over SOMETHING last week, dunno if it was flu (might have just been midterms).

You are right about the flu season being over. It ended on the last week of Feb, but there are different influenza viruses can circulate as late as May.

I haven't got the flu in years and I get a flu vaccine every year and that helps. You can still get the flu, but in most cases, you get over it faster.

The last time that I did get the flu was 1994 and I did have the flu vaccine and to this day, I think it may have save my life.

Vitamin C -I take it everyday (usually) and dose myself extra every time my throat even thinks about getting scratchy. It's gotten me through about two or three winters without flu. Our winter is coming up in the Southern Hemisphere, so we'll have to wait and see if i can make it for another one.

I actually have yet to get the flu, cold or anything this year... *knock on wood XD*

I think it's because of the change in my diet.... the fact that I've been eating more vegetables and generally eating healthier (of course I have been eating a little bit of red meat lately >_< I need to get back to my diet!!!! DX)

But yeah... Nope, I'm still pretty healthy -^_^-

Sure did...I had gotten my flu shot, but apparently the vaccine was for the wrong strain. So I got the flu. No bueno. But it only lasted a week.

[font="palatino Linotype"]I had my first bout with the flu this year.

I was misdiagnosed, and had really bad bronchitic asthma.

I still do, and it's been a month. Because of the flu, now I have to carry around an inhaler for a while.

yeah, so last night was the worst ever! Me and my cousin were playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl and we were freezing cold! Even with the heater directly on us we were still shivering turns out my fever was like 102.5 and my cousins 102.3. So I layed on the floor for awhile with a blanket on top of me then moved to a little chair and sat there. I was totally afraid to move because everytime I moved got this rush of coldness. Soon, my mom checked my tempture again and it was 102.7. So we left and I got home but I was still freezing. BUT! I'm wayyy better today. Thank God.

Eeeek. If your fever gets that high again, take Advil or Tylenol; that'll help break the fever and help with any aches and pains you might be having.

Theoretically, there is a silver lining to this cloud, right? How many people got the shots and didn't get THAT string. I guess it's better to suppress a minor string correctly than it would be to accidentally not suppress a major one.
