Here is something odd that I just found out.

Not only will Blood + Volume 1 come out on March 4, but there will be Blood + Part 1 Special Edition box set that will come out on the same day.

It will have six disk and a running time of 600 minutes and MSRP will be $119.95

0_o Are you sure there's not a typo or something in there. That sounds a little odd. A six disk set and 600 minutes. Unless they have a lot of subbed episodes it seems kind of odd.

Nope, its not a typo. Blood + has been licensed by Sony for the NA market on Jan 2006.

The whole series has been dub and Adult Swim started to air the series on March 11, 2007. It has been close to two years since Sony got the licensed right for it and they never put a dvd out since then and it felt like they were going to wait untill Adult Swim finish the series, before any dvd would be release.

The first box set will have the first 25 eps on it and they have all aired on Adult Swim.

The box is okay, I had hope that Bandai Entertainment would have made the box set look a bit like the Cowboy Bebop - Perfect Collection box set.

But oh well, this will do.

Now, this is a Japan release but it's still pretty interesting. The 3 Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex films (Laughing Man, Individual 11, and Solid State Society) are to be released in a Blu-Ray box set with English dub and subtitles as well as the original Japanese language track on July 25. If you didn't know, Japanese Blu-Ray discs can be played in American players and vice versa.

Wasn't sure where to list this, but FUNimation finally updated their site with all their new licenses, which at least gives us a vague idea when premiere DVDs come out. Couple bare bones pages, but I'd assume we'll catch the sites for details in the near future.

A little more info about Lucky Star Vol.1 with Artbox Limited Edition.

First, when I said this in the Lucky Star thread

The box-art for the LE volume 1 for Lucky Star, is the Japan's R2 regular edition volume 1 cover. The USA regular edition volume 1 cover is the Japan's R2 LE volume two cover.

I meant to say that the dvd cover for the LE volume 1 is the Japan's R2 regular edition volume 1 cover. Sorry about that and here is what the artbox looks like.
