Well lately I was speaking to two associates about God, military, and current world events. Both of them claim to serve God, and began to start stating how all caucasian are of the devil, the world is ran by a ''white man's government'' and how they can't see how somebody of a certain nationilty can marry somebody else of another nationality. What they stated was pure ignorance, imo ( I myself have no problem with interracial marriage, and no its no because I happen to be multi-racial either). I was trying to convince them that there is good and bad in every group, and all this hate is from Lucifer. But they wouldn't listen, then there are times I get railroad for trying to do my best to be a Christian as in being nice to everybody I meet, ( of course that's to be expected. I swear right now , I feel very disgusted at certain people that profess to be God fearing Christians when in reality they are purposely wrong in the eyesight of God. I've been tempted many times to leave the faith after seeing, and being through bad things. Fortunately God keeps re-assuring, everything will turn out just fine in the end for everybody that truly serves him. Has anyone else felt this way before?

Everyone gets discouraged from time to time. And many people go through what you're experiencing. I think it was Billy Graham who said something along the lines of: "The greatest single cause of atheism is Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their words, but not with their actions."

In my experience, the only thing that really changes learned-hate is experience. Most people who "preach" hate have only had negative experiences with that which the preach against. If they have to spend any real time with "the other side," it tends to mellow them out.

Again, that's just my $0.02. YMMV.

Well, some people who profess to be Christians aren't all that serious about God, and the teachings of the Bible. They probably do believe in God, and in salvation through Jesus Christ, but their familiarity with the Bible may be slight.

Beyond that, though, what I think you're running into here is a problem that is seperate from anything resulting from religion, or the lack thereof. I have come into contact with a lot of people (mainly over the internet, thankfully) who do make a big deal over things like race and nationality. Some of these people are Christians, some are not. It's a problem within the human race as a whole that takes time for some people to overcome, I think. Sadly, some never overcome it.

If they are into philosophy, then perhaps have a discussion about the creation of paradigms, and help them be aware that an innumerable amount of paradigms have been sustained within the human experience.

If they are into scripture, even if they aren't that bright, maybe give them the old example of Moses' marriage.

Other than that, just accept that people will be people. Christians are quite human, and it sort of surprises me when people seem to expect anything more. We are supposed to clothe ourselves with Purity as the sign that we are the people of God, under the new covenant. Purity doesn't equal intellect {perhaps unfortunately}, and thus, if, say, those people were never immersed into any environment which is intellectually stimulating, such as the halls of academia, or even anywhere where debate and open and free discussion is encouraged, are sort of at a great disadvantage, and I certainly wouldn't blame them.

Well if you think about it if you go far enough back we're all mixed,there is no such thing as being 'pure' anything.Migrations,trade,wars,etc.have all resulted in the human species being a rather mixed lot.
People who claim that other races are 'of the devil' should be ignored.
Though the ironic thing is that they probably might have white ancestry themselves without knowing it!;)

If they won't listen to you, don't even bother after a couple times. People are ready to hear different things at different times.

Well, haven't noticed any horns sprouting from my forehead, but Lord knows I'm a sinner. There's a certain amount "of the Devil" in all of us, in that sense. Thus, they aren't entirely wrong.

They also aren't entirely wrong in believing that at least a significant part of the world is run by caucasian males. Of course, India, The People's Republic of China, and Indonesia, which between the three of them represent roughly half of the world population, probably object to the theory of the 'entire world' being so commanded. But I would say the caucasian male probably does have a disordinately large proportion of leadership. Hence, there is at least a seed of truth here, too.

This is how your associates can believe as they do. And, anyone who has read about Christian history can tell you, it is possible to misunderstand all sorts of things in the Bible as clearly applying to the present day. Various groups have been doing this, and seeing the end coming, all the way back to the beginning of the Church.

The important thing is to not let their confusion be a vexation to your own belief. Love God, and love your neighbor. I didn't see any color specs handed out in this command, so I take it that the Lord meant my neighbor regardless of hue.

You all have very good points. My mother spoke to one of them last night and the individual was still speaking negative things, turns she also likes to be entertained by a person that practice witchcraft O_O. She also has a problem with multi-racial people like myself being friends with ''whites'', I like speaking to and being friends to people of any other nationality, its sad they think like that. My best bet for the whole situation is too keep praying for them both yet at the same time, keep a distance. Especially how its between them and God.
