NFL Playoffs

I've been doing picks with some friends all year. Wondering what everyone thinks is gonna happen in the last few games now. I think that Indy is gonna knock off SD in probably a close game. Maybe Indy pulls ahead in the end. I think NE is gonna pull out a gutsy win over a game Jacksonville. Should be closer then people figure. I also think that GB is gonna whoop Seattle. And that Dallas will beat NY. My pick at the start of the year was NE vs Philly in the Superbowl. But at this point, I think its gonna be NE vs Dallas.

I think Jacksonville will beat NE, but just barely and in the last few seconds. I also think that Indy will beat SD, GB will beat Seattle and New York will edge past Dallas. Here's hoping Jax can pull one of the biggest upsets in NFL history.

I really think Jack is the only team that can stop NE. If NE beats Jacksonville, its pretty much over. Indy I guess has a shot. But no NFC team does. I am not hating on the NFC, but to be honest, NE, Indy, SD, or Jack would take any NFC team. It's just the AFCs time right now.

I think Jax has just the type of offense to beat the Pats, a hard running, ball control type of offense. The only thing I'm a bit worried about is the pass defense, which has been a bit suspect this year. Even so, I sincerly believe that the Jags have a very good chance at winning this game.

Game is tomorrow night! I will guess the final score to be like....24-21 NE. But I hope Jacksonville can pull it off. I am surrounded by NE fans up here. >.< I would kinda like to see Green Bay take the whole thing so Farve could retire on a high point.

You mean like John Elway did in 99? Yeah, if Jacksonville gets knocked out that's who I'll be rooting for.

And I know how you feel. My whole family are NE fans and I've had the undefeated season thing rubbed in my face all year. :/

My guess, it'll be 38-35 Jax on a last second field goal.

Except Brett Farve did not throw a fit during the draft and refuse to play for a team. (Ala Elway) :)

Dallas is doing much better this year than in prior years...maybe they actually have a chance. I love the Texas teams, so I'm hoping Dallas has a good end of the season (Not a big fan of the Texans...).
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Halftime, and GB is pounding them. GB started off slow, but they really turned it up.

Elway retired after the 1999 season, but they had a losing season that year. Denver Broncos won the Super bowl in 1997 and 1998.

I only pull for Indy and would like to see them win again.

But if Green Bay could go all the way and win it and Farve could retire after it. I would like to see them win it.

I just want NE to lose bad.

Well GB is in the NFC title game now. Quite a whooping they put on Seattle. Hopefully they do that against Dallas/NY.

Off topic: It looks like Pats college scouting director Dimitroff set to take over as Falcons GM.

So far, Jacksonville is playing well.

Come on Jacksonville.

Yeah. It's over. Pretty much what I expected. New England seems to let teams get close then just pull away in the 4th. I see Indy beating SD and losing in NE. And I think NY is gonna upset Dallas. I then see NY losing in Green Bay. Green Bay NE rematch.

Well blah Jacksonville!

Did I hear right, if Indy beats SD tomorrow. That NE will play them at Indy or will it be at NE?

No, NE has home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

Man, I haven't been this disappointed since the 99 playoffs when Jacksonivlle lost to Tennessee in the AFC Championship game. Now, on top of it, I have to root for either Colts or the Chargers, two of the teams that I hate the most.

I am not a big Patriots fan by any means. In fact I often talk of how much I hate them. But ya know, after all the trash fans talked about how they cheated (They got caught doing something every other team has at least, if not still do) Yet, everyone fails to mention the 72 Dolphins were docked a draftpick like 1 or 2 seasons before the perfect year. So if NE wins the Superbowl, they deserve it. That said, I really hope Green Bay somehow wins.

I don't know, they almost beat the Pats in the final regular season game, and Eli has been on fire as of late, along with the whole team. I think the Giants will play them close and, hopefully, will squeek by with a win. Whether they win or lose, this will be very, very close.

You can bet Bellicheck will have his guys ready. New England will win by no less then 7. I actually would not be shocked by a 10 or 14 point win by NE. I was bummed to see GB go down, but really....lets be real folks...the NFC won't beat the AFC.

Well New York wasn't supposed to come in and beat Green Bay,so I wouldn't put it past the Giants to beat the Pats in the Superbowl.Actually I was thinking when that overtime kick was made that it would be rather funny if he made it after missing in the final seconds of regulation.

I liked how when they did a booth review of that Giants catch at the end of the game, they checked where the ball should be spotted. I found that funny, considering it was an incomplete pass that hit the turf when he landed on it. The bad calls were out in force in that game. Against GB and against NY. Some of the worst reffing I have seen in quite a while.
