Miss Bad Dog

Guess what miss Bad Dog did over the holiday...

Pebbles (my service dog) had a large box of large-sized Milkbones in her box (a plastic tub I keep her stuff in). The box was open. I normally leave it open in the dorm and she never bothered anything, so I thought it was ok.
I was wrong. I walked in the room and saw crumbs on the floor. I was like "That's weird. Did I give her a treat and forget about it?" I walked out and Pebbles was in the living room with me for a while and I got to talking to my friends. I walked back in the room and caught her red-pawed with a Milkbone in her mouth! She left it when I said "Leave it" and gave me a guilty "Oh man, she caught me!" look. I looked in her Milkbone box and they were all gone! (It was less than half full to start with).
I put the last remaining bone in the box, scolded Pebbles and put her in time-out under the table. But did she learn her lesson? No.
Later she got the last Milkbone out of the box and ate it too--I found out cause the box was now empty.
She knew it was wrong because she took such great care to make sure I was in the other room when she did it.
Just had to share. Pebbles is often too sneaky for her own good. I have to keep a sharper eye on her...:shake:
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Aw, man...someone's in the dog house. (bad pun, I know...)

When you said she's too smart for her own good, you reminded me of that video where this woman put something in a toaster oven, left, and then her dalmation came into the room, opened the toaster oven, took the food out, and left.

Dogs always find ways of getting into the food no matter what.
