I also got some random clothing, and a pretty sweet lap desk from my father. It's a pretty considerate gift. :D

My friend gave me some profoundly weird things... like salt and pepper shakers that look like slices of watermelon, and.... a glass hand. I don't know why.

Expected but not exactly dying if I didn't get one: A mystery brand black 4GB MP3/Mp4 player.. (I really have no idea what brand it is XD It' looks like an ipod... my mom said the box got damaged on its way here, so she just put it's contents in a gift box XD) It's pretty cute though.. I am gonna decorate it with a few stickers. I believe it's an import from Japan...(that's what my mom said) and a friend of mine said it "looked" Japanese...>_> do most american MP3 players have places for cell phone charms? Mine does... XD

Expected/ Found out about early:-Jars of Clay: Good Monsters :DDD I have been wanting this album SO BAD
-The Paprika DVD- (XD I saw my sister grab it, after telling her about it) she was like "okaay, so you didn't see me get this for you, right?!" I was like "What... DVD?"

-This really nifty Ramen Noodle Cook Book, there are 101 recipes to turn our favorite College Student's Staple food into amazing cuisines XD. I saw this laying on a basket ad I was like "OOH this looks interestign!" My mom grabbed it from me and was like "You werren't supposed to see that!! D8" XD I was like "okay, I won't use it until Christmas! :D

Unexpected:

A Badge Lamentor for future conventions and artist alleys! :D I can't wait to try this thing out! ^_^

-An asian cuisine set. hehe...sushi time! :D

-A lap desk for sculpting (XD because it's more fun to sculpt in the family room with my family)

-A Dale Earnhardt Jr. #88 Necklace :D It's cute! (I'm such a nerd XD)

A t-shirt that says "iPRAY (like eBAY) do you?" or something. It's cute.

Some awkward gifts that I am not sure how I will use O_o
-A Pink Sweatshirt with a grinning Turtle that says: "I'm only cranky when I'm awake" or something.... I'm not a cranky person.. (although my family accuses me of being so...WHAT?! D: )

A panda shirt that says: "It's cute that you think I'm interested."

I don't wear shirts like these....>_> ._.

Stocking Stuffers:
A set of Brush Pen markers
Perfume
A really nifty Phone Charger set...(its kinda like swissarmy Phone Charger) XD I will never lose mine again! XXDDD

It's also a tradition of my mom's that we get a cylinder of tootsierolls in our stockings XD We've gotten these every year for as long as I can remember.

OH and my little sister gave me sunflower seeds...O_o

Heh, isn't "What did I get" somewhat in spirit with the commercialization of Christmas we dissed a week or two before?

Anyway, the mostly notable gift I received was a badass computer mouse, Logitech VX Nano, which has among the smallest USB receivers. It'll help me next year in making client presentations more professional and makes my travel life more comfortable. Thank you, koko.

Speaking of gifts, I couldn't help noting the 'obligatory' gift. These are gifts you give out of politeness, which I don't really like doing. I'm mentioning this mostly because I had to do this quite a bit this season.

Btw, Ark, nice pics of your niece and nephew. :)

This may sound weird, but this has been the happiest/best Christmas I've had in a long time. My mom would usually buy me a lot of stuff, but frankly, I don't miss it. She'd usually get me things I didn't need or couldn't use.
This year was very simple. Some gift cards, some coffee, an awesome crystal cat figurine from Hallmark. It was just a blessing to have a simple holiday with a few gifts and getting to spend it in a warm and loving environment (my friends' parents are flippin' awesome!).
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

"Since the creation of the Internet, the Earth's rotation has been fueled, primarily, by the collective spinning of English teachers in their graves."
