-From my grandmother, a $50 check
-From my sister & brother-in-law, a "The Dude" bobblehead
-From my mom & dad, a book (The Light Fantastic by Terry Pratchett); a CD (They Might Be Giants - The Else); a DVD (The Bourne Ultimatum); clothing (a new earthy-green hoodie, my old gray one was falling apart).
-From Santa Me, a Wii and 2 games; Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Rayman Raving Rabbids (I got extremely lucky on this one. I saw it at Target last Monday while Christmas shopping for family).

From my parents:
A new backpack, because my other one was literally falling apart(my brother helped with this)
Pride and Prejudice, the A&E version a.k.a. the good version.
Sense and Sensibility

From Grandma:
A purple blouse
Art pencils
Diner Dash 2

From Mamaw:
A gold necklace and bracelet
The Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hour Glass

From friends:
a hand made wire necklace and earrings (very pretty)
The Flower Basket (book)

I didn't get as many gifts as I usually do because of lack of money, and half of the christmas tree lights (the lower half) went out last night, so our tree is only half lit, we can't find the cloth napkins, place mats or center piece candles to light, but regardless, it has been a good Christmas. The Lord is in control, and it was His will for this Christmas to be a little more bland then previous years, but He is the true focus of the holiday, all praise be to Him forever.

It is very easy to get caught up in the "What did I get" spirit. But lemme change this threads gears a bit. This is what meant the most to me about Christmas at my house this year. Yes, I got a few gifts. But it was seeing my niece and nephew's faces light up when they opened their gifts from my parents and I that made my day.

My gifts were mostly viodeos games for the XBox-360,ps2 and Nintendo DS. I also went up to the mountains.
Some of my favorite scriptures.

Psalm91
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

Hebrews 4-4
1Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

James 4
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Revelation 22:14
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

*glances to her piles of Christmas presents and decides to continue her list where she left off*
Okay, so I got the Wii, iPod Stereo, TWLOHA hoodie, my wall Cross, and my new power cord...like I already said

Also Got:

Books:

Taming a Liger: Unexpected Spiritual Lessons from Napoleon Dynamite - Jeff Dunn & Adam Palmer (To be honest, I'm not a fan of the movie, but it's nonetheless a good book)

Captivating: Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman's Soul - John & Stasi Eldredge (Wow! This came from my stepbrother's girlfriend, whom I hardly even know. I can't thank her enough)

Illuminated - Matt Bronleewe

Blade Silver: Color me Scarred - Melody Carlson

The Struggle - Steve Gerali (Okay, self-bought present...that I bought a few days beforehand...) I honestly wouldn't recommend this book. Talk about tempting and mature, which I didn't expect when I bought it. It's good, but just not worth the fight against M. Especially since it basically concludes that the issue is one between yourself and God and together you've got to figure it out. =/

CDs:

Rush of Fools: Rush of Fools

Hawk Nelson: Smile, it's the End of the World (Okay, so it's mom's, and she bought it a week or so ago...but still XD)

Steven Curtis Chapman: All Things New (I have this CD, they um...bought the wrong one...I wanted This Moment, which goes on sale soon, so we're going to return it and get the new one)

50 Blank CDs

Clothing:

Lots of comfy pajamas. Yay pajamas! (Like, 4 pairs?)

White and gold striped hoodie

two pairs of slippers

Black and White t-shirt

brown striped with white tanktop t-shirt

purple and pink striped t-shirt

(Seriously, what's up with my family and STRIPES?)

new underwear and bras (Yay, I've seriously been needing new...my dog likes to eat underwear and I was down to 3 pairs or so -_- Bah.)

Videos:

Thou Shalt Laugh II: The Deuce (Funny as HECK. A lot of Thor's act he'd actually told at Christ in Youth this past summer, and man, was it good to hear it again!)

Games:

Brain Age 2 (DS)

Misc.:

"Naughty" Cat 2008 Calender

Reindeer Antlers XD

Glowstick bracelets

a Christmas tree

2.0gb Flashdrive

Captain Jack Notebook

Snowkitty Dish and Candy

Lots of candy

$140, which is being put aside for CIY'08 and the Choir trip to Chicago

Umm....Yeah....I think that was everything. I got pretty darn spoiled this year. I don't deserve it ;____;

Shirt, keychain, and two books from one friend, and a drawing from another.

Absolutely nothing from my family. =p Well technically they did help pay off a part of my Macbook Pro that I got, so I'm grateful for that. I also did buy myself Psychonauts as well as a Half-Life 2 plushie.

And Ark, your post = Best in the thread.

Ah, Psychonauts. One of the most underappreciated games on the PS2. Unfortunately long load times, though.

I bought it for the pc. Since I'm running it on a Macbook Pro, (Used Bootcamp to partition 40 gigs for Windows) the load times aren't that bad, but they're still noticeably a tad bit longer than others.
