Christian Anime Alliance???

Postby Mangafanatic » Tue Mar 16, 2004 2:13 pm

Christian Anime Alliance? Does the name refer to a religious affiliation? Just wondering.

. . . . . . you could say that ^.^;; *is being sarcastic*

but that my spirit would become so alive it took my body's place.

I'm not quite clear on what you're asking. We're an "alliance" of Christian anime fans, but the site is not part of any religious groups. Is that what you meant?

CAA is simply a community website for Christian otaku. Stick around, you'll see what we're about ;)

Yay! (I love it when people have that reaction :)) I'm glad you found us, and please tell your best friend that they're welcome here as well. If you have any questions about site rules, how to get an avatar/sig up or any questions about any anime or mangas, you can either PM me or any of the other mods or simply ask around.

Nice to meet you!

As a concerned member, who takes things too seriously anyway, I just want to recommend that you consider expressing your excitement in a different manner in the future. A lot of exciting things happen here,... and I assume you would prefer to have a chair as you browse the forums.

Also, Mangafanatic, did you make your thread in the Welcome Area? If you haven't, go ahead and do so. We like to welcome new members here.
Find me on Steam, PlayStation Network (OmegaAmen), Backloggery, Twitter, and Twitch.tv

I am also in the Christian gaming group, Tribe of Judah in the Christian Gamers Alliance.

I already had lots of Christian friends who were anime fans, but I was really excited about the Christian reviews, and a chance to share my love of Christ with still greater numbers of people.

Luckily, I didn't hurt myself when I first came here. It was a more "Wow... interesting concept" then "WHAT!!! CHRISTIANS THAT LIKE ANIME!!!". Also considering that I am not an otaku when it comes to anime in general. I only have this one dvd of Rah Xephon and 4 mangas (I prefer manga right now because of the price). However, I much prefer Anime to most American animation and manga to most comic books.

It also helps that this was my very first forum.

As you, no doubt, have guessed (I am morp... no wait... wrong thread...), CAA is generally full of weirdos. Don't mind us (and pay no attention to the thing behind the curtain). We wont bite.

*chomp*

Er...

Anyway, welcome to the Nuthouse!

Yeah... It is rather shocking... I wouldn't have guessed that based on what I had seen in real life. Man... I really need to find some RL christian anime fans...

CDLviking, yes you are a bit unique.... but that's ok.... we like you just the same ;)

Mangafanatic, we've got our own resident Rev with RevDoc (he's still around, right guys?).... so that's pretty cool too.

I have a few RL friends who are Christians and into anime. We call ourselves the Posse and we have uber amounts of fun! ^_^

There's 8? Really? Wow. I didn't know that. Cool!

The choice has been made. There's no looking back. I won't let up, back up, give up, or shut up. My focus clear. My path is straight. My God, reliable. I'm a disciple of Christ.

Gods plan is like the sun. its too big and bright to look at directly, and sometimes the rain clouds cover it, but sometimes the plan dapples through the clouds and we can see beautiful glimpses of what he has in store for us.

I think it's more like "Priest School"

I'm pretty sure he's catholic...
