Did he die doing what he loved?

Unfortunately, no. He retired in 1980 I think.

Just to let everyone know, this was Robert Craig "Evel" Knievel, Jr.

His last jump was on March 1981 in Hollywood, Florida.

I recall his son briefly took it up for awhile in the late 1980s.

I recall he was a controversial man back in the 1970s when I was young and all the kids my age thought he was cool. I know my mother had a very negative opinion of him and did not approve of our youthful admiration. Perhaps it was because the kids began trying their own stunts?

According to a few sites, Evel Knievel recently converted to Christianity.

I didn't know much about him, but I remember that my mom's brother liked him in the 70's.

Rest in peace.

Hello there! I'm back after a long break! I started watching anime again in 2016. I still check the forum too!

I watched Evel on "Hour of Power", giving out his testimony, stating that Jesus, Yihoshua, is our Lord God and Savior. His powerful Testimony was the sermon for the day, and I was so moved by him. He was baptized and now he may Rest In Peace with Yihoshua in heaven.

Here is the link to his testimony:

He does say B-tard, but it was towards satan and I thought it was necessary.

So what was the cause of death?

... For a brief momst, the thought running through my mind was "What's wrong with B-tards?

... Then I remembered that the answer is 'almost everything'.

And then I realised that was censorship.
Embraced by a gentle breeze, my heart breaks as I think of you.
All alone at the top of the hill, I watch as the seasons go by.

Wishing for courage softly, I pray.
There's no going back now, to those tender days when you held me in your arms.
