What do you enjoy? Do that. Me? I enjoy gaming. I like to throw huge gaming throwdowns. For new Years I'm celebrating Wintereenmas a little early with an allnighter console slugfest. ... Speaking of I need to get myself some routers and ethernet cables...

Yeah; I would second doing things you enjoy, whether it be video games, dance contests, costume (or cosplay :P ) contests, pinatas (but...realize that a good chunk of pinata parties end up on AFV, lol), movie (or anime) watching, or whatever it is you like.

I don't concider myself an expert at party planning, but if I might add something that's probably pretty obvious: don't do anything you DON'T want to do. Don't feel like there's anything you HAVE to do just because it seems like a party's "gotta" have this to be a hit. This is YOUR party!

Video games are pretty good, because they reach a huge audience. I recommend DDR, Wii Sports are good too. Or you can just hang out. Sometimes you don't need all this flashy stuff to make your party nice; just being with the people you like can be enough.

well have you planned any snack, apiticers, chips, cokes, etc? That would be a good start. As far as activities go you could play like twister, or something like that for a couple of minutes, just have fun and plan what you like to do.

Yeah, the parties where you just hang out are my favorite. We make it a regular requirement that breakfast burritos be made by a specific group of my friends and I at least once a year. Then we hang out around the dining room table and enjoy one another's company.

Depending on the size of the group, start making decisions on the

1) food
- How much? Do your friends expect to get their dinners there or are you just serving light snacks?
- What type? Finger food? Heavy stuff (lasagne, pies)

2) games/activities
- group activities? Plan games to get everyone involved
- provide variety of activities simultaneously - some ppl watch movies, some board games, some basketball outside, twister, DDR etc.etc.
- gift opening sessions? Singing/cake session? (call me silly but I still have cake and singing at my age....)
- or all of you could just relax and socialize :)

MISC
1) deco - only if you feel up to it....not saying that it's like kid's birthday party but you can decide a theme, just for fun
2) dress code - you can tell ppl to dress according to the theme
3) door gifts - if you feel up to it

Do what you enjoy most as others above mentioned,, and if any of the people at the party like to play video games, bring some.
Some of my favorite scriptures.

Psalm91
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

Hebrews 4-4
1Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

James 4
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Revelation 22:14
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

I know in my experience going to parties, as long as there's food, I'm happy.
Make sure you have lots of snacks on hand (especially since I've seen how much people your age can eat! )
"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Have everyone come in costume as characters from your favourite anime or something. For your birthday, you can make them do it - you get birthday leverage. That leverage gets weaker as you get older, so use it while you can to do outrageous things.

(Really, it's your party, you can cry if you want to - er, you can plan whatever events or gimmicks you like.)

I might suggest video games or anime watching, because it seems a relatively safe bet given your membership in this site. I hear Wii sports is fun for parties.
The cake used to be a lie like you, but then it took a portal to the deception core.
