I think its more on the lines, the anime is too old for Adult Swim to want it then the LCD philosophy. After all, they did air Escaflowne the movie and its not as well like as the series is.

I don't think it would fit on Ani-Monday too, too much drama and love story then mecha in it to hold Sci Fi fans into watching it.

Quite frankly there are a number of good quality anime series out there that will never see the light of day on AS

I don't really buy that. They just got Death Note and they had a few other good quality anime series that has been showed on AS. Its more along the lines, will the anime fan base will support these shows that are airing on TV. Some have and some haven't.

If you think about it, its actually a wonder anime even airs on CN at all. I mean CN is mostly pro-american cartoons. So I think we should be grateful with what they air, but yeah, they should try different things. You know like take a whole saturday out during AS and show many different kinds of anime (now all they would have to do is just get the first episode(Not the whole series) of different anime as a sample you could say like anime magazines advertise different anime on their dvds.). And then see which shows the fans like the best and then buy and soon air these shows. Actually that sounds what they did a while back with that night of 1000 trailers thing on a sunday in the past where they aired new AS shows that could become an actual show on the AS block. Or maybe they thought of that and discarded the idea. Well actually I think by the message boards they do know what anime people want to see.

Me thinks they should get Haruhi, but that show doesn't have many episodes and its centered mainly on school - a thing AS strives to avoid. Even though they have shows that are closely related to school like Inuyasha, Bleach, and Death Note, they are not really apart of the main story. Like inuyasha mainly focuses on Feudal era Japan, Bleach is mainly in the soul society(For now at least) and DeathNote hardly has anything to do with school so these shows fit the bill.(I think thats what they are doing. Although there was FLCL and Evangelion but they didn't spend that much time at school anyways.)

You can thank Kim Manning for keeping anime on Adult Swim. She is the lead programmer for Adult Swim and she is an anime fan. There has been some anime that she would love get and be showed on AS, but the higher ups have said no. So she has to do what she can and there is not much that she can do.

Well, that's very christian like. A christian should not hate a person or people for something that they may have said or done.

But thank you for you input, when it wasn't really needed.

News flash: Adult Swim changes their lineup again. Sesshy fangirls rise from the dead and eats Voltron alive from the 5 am time slot. Inuyasha will take over the time slot. Reports that the Sesshy fangirls are starting to come out of their caves and have started talking and trying to act like a normal human again, well somewhat normal. Film at 11!!!!!

I wouldn't be rejoicing over this. Futurama was one of the top rated shows on AS. AS will need to find another show that can bring in big ratings. Ratings brings in money. Without big ratings, not that much money to buy tv rights and that could cause AS to cut back on buying anime.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion was announced at New York Anime Festival to air on Adult Swim in the spring.

I'm not surprised at this. This is what everyone was suspecting would air on AS eventually.

Ummm...what? What does that mean? If you don't like a voice on an anime, just don't watch it. Inuyasha is still running, just go watch that as you normally do. Don't ruin it for anyone else. You did the same thing with Death Note a few weeks ago: completely bashed it. If you don't like an anime, nobody's twisting your arm.

Man, thats just sad... Why aren't people watching Death Note?!!

Umm also, the 12:30 am slot on AS one weekdays is Shin Chan not Bleach. Does anyone notice that this season of Shin Chan is quite a bit more inappropriate than last seasons?

Here's my couple of theories, take them as that.

Theory Number 1: People originally watched DeathNote on AS and after getting a decent sampling of it, they decided to a) Finish watching the rest of the series on sites such as Youtube or downloading them because a week can be long to impatient anime fans. b) They decded they don't like the series and watch other things. My bet, due to the popularity of this show...is that they merely went to youtube...

Theory number 2. It's the Holiday Season...people are traveling, studying for finals....etc.

I was just not going to re post the lineup, since I had already posted it and didn't know about it untill I posted another lineup.

You can't find that many eps of Death Note on youtube, they have just been all taken down.

The biggest theory on why people are not watching Death Note is, due to the anime elistists group that will not touch anime that airs on tv or dub with a 10 foot pole.
